Reasoning	8th of 14 by 5 3/4 lengths at the C&D last time out but had problems in running. Previous tries are for 3rd of 9, 11th of 12, 2nd of 9, and 3rd of 12. Last time out; eld up, no room on inside from over 2f out to entering final furlong, not recover. That was for 7f. His last 6f run was at Newmarket in August where lost by just 3 3/4 lengths to Time Medicean for 7th of 19 and that was a Class 4 Handicap; Slowly into stride, held up, headway over 1f out, ran on, not reach leaders. 6f had been his best trip with his only win coming at 6f (Goodwood).

Reasoning	Beaten by just a neck last time out and one to be shortlisted. Tony Tyler was the one to good last time out and that rival was reunited with P J McDonald for that win. Their last run was for a 2 1/2 length victory at York and the selection had already won three times at 6f this year. The selection faces a bit easier of rivals today and will be hard to beat if brining that form here. His last run here was three runs ago for 3rd where the rider had problems removing the hood from the start and that pretty much took his chances away. Jockey is repalced today with Phillip Makin. He's done the most good with the selection winning 5 times from 17 runs and placed 4 more.

Re: FLAT Racing - Sept 27th Medicinal Compound 4.40 Ayr 20-1 Bet365 (EW) I've followed this for a while since it caught my eye as a fast finishing 2nd at Ripon last August. It ran 2 stinkers (14th of 15, 13th of 13) before winning by 11 lengths at Newcastle on heavy ground. It is expected to be soft at Ayr, which should suit but it's still to win over 10f. The handicapper hammered it for the 11 length win (up to 90 from 79) and it still seems a bit high (87) but drops from class 2 to class 3 and wears first time blinkers. Has it all to do to beat Dare To Dance but so do the rest of the field. Small each way interest only but has ability.
