Achilles 29 are the team that one year ago in the Cup beat: 5:3 Heracles (when Heracles was much stronger) 2:0 Oss (second division team) and in January 2011 draw 0:0 RKC (a team that is doing good in 1st league) Telstar is playing awful on road and on the other hand we got the host who is playing solid on his turf. They are doing very well in their league, top of the table after 6 games, with 5 wins and 1 draw. Telstar who although are a division above, have yet to gain a point away from home and dont seem to travel well. They have started in the league very well being in 2nd place and have already travelled to Groningen and beat them 3-0 on their own turf, so at home they should be capable of winning by more than 1 goal in this cup tie. In addition to that, since it was for a long time not possible to relagate from the Eerste Divisie to the Topklasse and many Topklasse clubs are well run, it is suggested by serious journalists that the gap between the Topklasse and the Eerste Divisie is very small. However Alkmaar will play a big derby against Feyenoord on Sunday and then waiting for Euro game in Ukraine. Therefore they want as soon as to finish job in this match, cause extra time further exhausted their players. Erik Falkenburg, Maarten Martens, Charlison Benschop and Ruud Boymans are injured, and Ragnar Klavan will replace Nick Viergever in defense line of home team. Brett Holman is doubtful. Hyun-Jun Suk, Koen van de Laak, Thomas Enevoldsen and Emil Johansson are Groningen missings, but Pedersen is recovered. Ivens will replace Kwakman in defense.
