georgeCOSTANZA Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Sport Horse Racing Event Listowel 4:50 Selection Garlough (Each-way) Strength 1/10 Date 16/09/2011 Bookmaker/Price Skybet @ 34.00 Reasoning Hard to back on bare form but he's the only ride of the day from jockey Barry Geraghty. The selection also had his best in testing conditions and the Soft to Heavy will be to his liking. He was short headed at Punchestown on debut in a bumper on Heavy going. Finished 4th on Yielding/Soft last October. 6th of 14 in penultimate run. Geraghty had 9 runs here the last 4 days for a 130421303. He's also the best jockey in this race at the track. The last 5 seasons have 17 wins from 81 for a 21% strike rate with his rival jockeys havinga 9% strike rate at best. His experience is good to have for a maiden hurdle race.
