Flat Racing 11th of September Indian Art - Goodwood 3:35 Has been off the track for 698 days which is a worry but Richard Hannon trains this and Hannon has no problems in getting horses like this ready for the big run. Also has a course win to its name which is a positive that i like. Hannon is in great form, he had several winners today. Won here at Goodwood on its second run , that was back in 2008. Won a race also in 2009 at Salisbury over 6f... Is running over a mile tomorrow and has not been seen for a long time but if money comes for this horse i think it will be a great sign, thats why im taking a punt at a big price. WIN @ 25/1 >Bet365 BOG

Reasoning Won first two career starts. The last two have no winning effort for just a 7th of 15, and 3rd of 7 being beaten 5 1/4 and 10 1/2 lengths. They were in the Group 1 Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Pretty Polly Stakes. They are also her only two runs this year. She made a winning debut in a Listed contest last year then followed up with a Group 3 win. All ofer her runs had been at this course. Last time out (1m2f) was her first try beyond 1m and the two two in front her was Misty For Me and Midday so it was not easy. Now that she's had that experience and the drop to a Group 2 could make her get back to winning form.

Reasoning Much improve runner this year than in 2010. Fitten with tonguestrap this year is also helping. Began the year with a 2nd to Rave at Newmarket in May. Placed 3rd on her handicap debut in July. Too keen last time out in a maiden at Goodwood. She was only 4th of 6 but she had to face tougher rivals that day. Ahead of her was three male runners, Dean Swift from the Meehan/Dwyer/Lady Rothshild team. He was the second foal of Cheveley Park winner Magical Romance. The 2nd horse came from the Stoute/Buick combo, the Ballycamoll owned/bred Fruehling. Midnight Moon from Godolphin was 3rd, from the Bin Suroor/Durcan combo. She was the even money favorite that day so there must have been something going really well at home. Worth a shot frop to a Fillies' only Handicap.

Re: Flat Racing 11th of September 4.00 Ffos Las Miss Aix win @ 13/2 Bet 365 Won a maiden at Newcastle back in June and has ran decently in two handicaps since then and the run when coming 3rd behind El Torbelino last time out at Nottingham looked promising. With more improvement to come should be copetitive here today. 4.30 Ffos Las Jivry win @ 7/2 Bet 365 Looks unexposed compared to many of her opponents today. The ground will suit today loos decently handcaped and can put the poor run last time out behi her today. 5.20 Curragh Empowering ew @ 12/1 Bet 365 Just have a hunch that he is better than is form suggests and 6F is his best distance and if handling the ground looks a big ric for the trainer ad son combination. 5.40 Ffos Las The Jailer win @ 10/1 Bet 365 Gone off the boil of late but is a two time course winner including one success over todays distance. If showing is best form looks over priced and could spring a suprise.

Re: Flat Racing 11th of September 3.15 Curragh - 1pt e/w Winning Impact @ 28/1 (Boyles) Can't help but feel this horse is overpriced for this 7f contest, even though races with these jockeys on board don't really appeal to me! I know the square root of nothing about this one's rider, Lily Le Pemp, other than she has one of the better names in the field. However, first of all, races in these amateur races often tend to favour those racing prominently. It's often difficult for apprentice riders to galvanise horses from the rear so long as they don't go horrifically quick up front, and this horse likes to race in a handy position. This 4-year-old gelding should be a good ride in a race like this, and actually has some sound form in the book. He's only ever really run one bad race in 7 starts and that was last time. However, he was drawn 16 of 16 at Galway, the race virtually starting on a right hand bend so my selection was forced about 8 wide rounding the turn and never had a good position. The blinkers were on for the first time (withdrawn today) and this may not have suited the horse either. He returned this season with an effort in a Premier Handicap over 1 mile and finished a very respectable 5th. He was off a lowly 77 with several in the 90s. The race today looks a fair bit easier than what he contested there, and his race inbetween that one and Galway. He was beaten 3 1/2l by Sean Og Coulston and the race worked out quite well. The winner ran well since and the 3rd, 4th and 6th have also come out of the race and done well. He's better drawn today and the jockey can get him into a handy position. He's run well both times he's encountered cut in the ground and he's slowly dropping down the handicap. He's consistent, this looks a little bit easier than what he's been contesting, and the trainer is going well - 2nd of 14 and 3rd of 26 with 2 runners in the last fortnight.

Re: Flat Racing 11th of September 1.55 Goodwood - 3pts win Cunning Act @ 5/1 (PaddyPower) - BOG Jonathan Portman's yard are flying at the minute, and I'm confident he can extend his run with a big effort from Cunning Act today. The trainer is operating at a 25% strike rate so far in September which is very impressive for a trainer not renowned for having classy animals. Cunning Act is only a 3-year-old and shaped as if needing a trip in just about every start he made until he finally got off the mark in a maiden handicap over today's c&d back in June. He stayed on determinedly to edge of Stagecoach Danman on that occasion - a horse who himself has improved since. The race wasn't a terrible one considering it was a maiden with another horse in Lemon Drop Red who has progressed better this season. Cunning Act ran a sound race over 13f at Newmarket to be 3rd of 9, but just lacked the speed in the final furlong. The horse looks an out-and-out stayer who doesn't do anything quickly, but stays well and grinds it out late on. This is exactly what he did when winning at Sandown 2 starts ago. He showed a really good attitude under pressure to wear down the leader and eventually forge on. This performance suggested 2 miles would hold no fears whatsoever. You can forgive him last times effort, even though it wasn't all that bad. He finished 8th of 19 at York behind Parlour Times - keeping on but not at the pace to challenge. He does lack the finishing kick over 14f, especially in good races as this one was. The winner is very decent and so were the rest of the horses in the field. This represents a considerable drop in class and he gets his first run at 2 miles. This should be a benefit to him and he can show his stamina in the finish. The soft ground is a slight concern but he ran well enough when encountering it before. There's still some scope off his mark now upped to 2 miles and I expect him to be tough to beat. He's by a horse who stayed 12f and his dam stayed 2 miles so I don't think the trip is going to be anything other than a help. Should be bang there at the finish.

Reasoning Goes well fresh winning in May after being off since January. It was his first start on Turf since making his career debut, having 5 runs on the All-Weather inbetween. The win was his first ry at 5f which is the same trip today. Been off since May but he's proven to win from a long break. The conditions are simlar to last time out too. He's the only runner in this field to have won on Good to Soft and still unexposed at this trip. Should go well with Paul Hanagan booked for the first time.
