Eternal Heart - Doncaster 1:55 Fairly lightly raced horse who has had a very good start to its career, winning 3 races from its 8 runs to date, and even though Motrice beat it comfortably last time out at Goodwood i dont think the race was run to suit. It could get a very soft lead in this race tomorrow as its the only definate front-runner and Buick is an interesting booking. Will belt out of Stall 2 and try take the race by the scruff of the neck and it will gallop all day long, may be very hard to pass. Is also the youngest horse in the race, is the only 3 year old in the field so has more scope than most. Think the 6/1 may not last. WIN @ 6/1 Paddy Power BOG

Re: BBOTD Friday 9th of September 16:10 Doncaster CITRUS STAR has become well-handicapped now and although he won't get the fast ground he likes, he's perfectly capable on this sort of ground and should run a nice race now dropped 4lbs since his last start, and is 5lbs lower than when winning over 7f at Glorious Goodwood in 2010. This season however, he's been out of sorts a little. However, a look through those starts in more detail... His first in 2011 was over 6f and he shaped that he needed the run. The second was at Epsom over 9f, which is too far anyway and he shaped like a non-stayer. The third was a solid enough effort over 7f at Newmarket but perhaps the quite testing finish there caught him out. It was a respectable run and interestingly off 6lbs higher than he runs off today. His last start was over 7f at Goodwood and the ground that day was too soft for him as well. He handles soft but it isn't 100% ideal and he was sent out too quick anyway. Dropped to a mark of 94, he's looking well-handicapped and this 6f110y trip should suit, as he's best over a sharp 7f or stiff 6f, it might just prove the making of him. Preferably need no more rain now and not a great deal is forecast. He's one I'm keeping on the right side of now unless the ground is soft and currently he's handicapped to go close.
