People started laughing, some people looked at me weird, but it did help me get a position in which people were unable to judge if I was a complete noob or if it was intented to confuse them. It worked for me. I still do it sometimes online when I know my chances to win are minimal. Always to protect myself from betting. It is possible to argue that you should never fold if you don't have to, but I've had it happen too many times that I lost pots where my cards were not that great, but I got a chance to check through. In tourneys, the TDA have just put a rule in for this very situation http://ukpokerassociation.com/rules/latest-tda-rules-2011/ rule 46 (new TDA rules btw) Not sure i could give a penalty for this though unless it was nailed on that collusion was taking place.
