chezney
Hi guys, I'm doing research into biomechanics of horses gaits, and how this can affect their race performance. The biomechanics has been easy to quantify, but as we all know, racing performance is harder to get an absolute value for. I'm pretty green to the world of racing and betting, so could anyone explain (starting in very basic terms) what TS and RPR mean? Also, what would be your views on how I could quantify a horses performance over a season? I've thought anywhere between simply number of wins to trying to figure out something incorporating TS and RPR. Cheers, C
twinny
Re: RPR and TS - help please! ts is the top speed that horse has achieved the number just defines a rating and rpr is the racing post rating that takes many things into account,be aware of the TS as horse races are not allways run at a fast pace,i think this is correct, the higher the number the better the rating
