Redcar 2.05 Maiden Beyond Conceit (5/1)and Swift Encounter (66/1) are members of a winning crop of maidens for their respective trainers, and can win on their first time out. Newton Abbot 2.55 C4 Hcp Chase Ethiopia has a good record, is fit, and is a changed horse with the blinkers. Gaelic Flight is a veteran who has declined slightly in the last few seasons but connections have been racing him in C2 and C3 races when his level is probably C4. He has started the season well and must be considered. Old Brigade can win a C4 race such as this one if he is fit but with only one run this season resulting in a UR we just don't know. The first time visor is a worry. Kitley Hassle has never won a race, and in my opinion never will. Skippers Lad has the ability to win at this level but he is a placer. He likes to follow the other horses over the line. Lord Lescribaa is a C5 horse not C4 in my opinion. He is another who would prefer to see a horse infront of him, such is the herding mentality. Re: Form Cycle Picks for 17th Redcar 2.35 C6 Hcp Media Stars is a heavily raced veteran at this level. Wins infrequently, can win even when out of form, probably due to quality of opponents, but does have some competitors here today so most likely will fail. Desert Hunter has not won in a year but he has been dropped to C6 from C5 where he was doing okay. The jockey goes well on this horse. Dean Iarracht seems fit this season and has a good career record. Broctune Papa Gio has won a similar race last time, having always raced well but placed before. The jockey seems to have made this one a winner now and the 3lb calim can only help. Crocodile Bay is the hardest working horse I have ever seen. He races non stop and has 92 career runs, but a poor strike rate. Seems to do better after a few weeks off but raced 2 days ago. Moonlight Fantasy has not won in a year. The 7lb claim may help but its a big gamble. Escape Artist has only ever won a maiden. The constant changing of tack by connections indicates problems. Bold Indian is a proven loser and today will be another dismal effort. Pictures has never won a race at 25 tries, even at C7. Obara D'Avril has only won once on the AW. Very poor record on turf, hates the stuff. Jacks Rocket has shown no ability whatsoever in his career and shouldn't be a racehorse. Princess Neenee has never won, is coming back from a layoff, and won't win. Picks Broctune Papa Gio 5/1 Desert Hunter 11/2 Dean Iarracht 10/3 But the market has the same rankings so no value!
