Flat Racing - Wednesday 6th July

3.10 BATH DIAMOND VINE 16-1 0.5pt win(BOYLES) Diamond vine is hardly an inspiring sort and wouldnt fill you full of confidence..For it's last four races it has been running class 4 and drops down in grade here and that may give it a live chance but thats not the only thing going for it.. Its career form is 44763132 (10) 128 (14) 4 8...Very patchy indeed..However it's form at BATH is 443321 which is very consistant imo.. It is the only C&D winner in the field..This would not be my first choice for the race..That would be SARANGOO ,who is very consistant and will be tough to beat..Going off 2nd favourite for that race it has some nice numbers on the clock..However if we look a little deeper we see that DIAMOND VINE has beat SARANGOO both times they have faced against each other. That was last year over the exact same distance (5f 161y) ,both times here at BATH..It beat it by 15 lengths on the first occasion and 4 lengths 2nd time, and although worse off at the weights i feel that it has a live chance based on that race, same distance and ground. Interestingly if we look even further we see the jockey, T G McLaughlin's form on this horse is 3132,so hopeful of this sprinter returning to form at a track it loves

Re: Flat Racing - Wednesday 6th July 7.30 NAAS ERINS GIRL 8-1 1pt ew This has ran 7 times to date and hasnt looked like winning any of its race race..It's best run however was last time out was a 1 and 3/4 length defeat to ONE OF THREE,at Limerick over 7f...(6f 161 yards). ONE OF THREE went on to win it's next race...ALLEGRA TALK who just saw off ERINS GIRL by a short head also went on to win its next race and came second in a decent handicap one week later. MT WEATHER who finished 5 lengths off ERINS GIRL went on to win recently(top man jamsie pick)..Also ERINS GIRL now drops back to 6f which as a promient racer could be the key to unlocking this one as it's ideal trip.. Should go close to winning this race imo.:?
