Pontefract Pointers 2.10 Pontefract (5f, 2yo maiden) Kevin Ryan is 2-9 in 2 yo maidens this season Tim Easterby is 2-6 in 2 yo maidens this season Richard Fahey is 2-9 in 2 yo maidens this season Kevin Ryan was 3-7 with his 2 yo here in 2010 Tim Easterby was 0-4 with his 2 yo here in 2010 Richard Fahey was 3-13 with his 2 yo here in 2010 Ryan saddles up Lyricist (drawn in stall 5) whose dam was an unraced sister to Ordnance Row (7f/1m). Easterby sends out Punchie (drawn in stall 3), a half-sister to the useful 5f winner Cocktail Charlie (now rated 94 and won FTO). Fahey is double handed with Ebony Clarets (Paul Hanagan, stall 10), a half-sister to 11f winner Broughtons Swinger, and Springleaf (Tony Hamilton, stall 11), a half-sister to useful 5f winning debutant Bathwick Bear, who later went on to score at listed level. Verdict: Punchie ticks most boxes and will be interesting with market support.

Fallon rides the track well and seems to get a good tune out of the yard's 3 yo.
