Cincinnati -1.5 @ 2.20 pinnacle Volquez has won his first 2 games but with a high 5.82 ERA, as he had had the benefit of run support. In his first game, he allowed 5 runs in the 7-6 win over Milwaukee, them gave u 4 runs in the 12-4 win over Houston and then had a much better effort where he allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in the 3-2 win over San Diego. Volquez also has a low 2.32 ERA in 5 starts against Pittsburgh so he does tend to play well against them. Karstens starts for the first time this season, and he is 0-4 with a 5.59 ERA in 4 starts against Cincinnati, and with the way the Reds have been hitting, expect them to do well again here and give Volquez the run support to win the game. Houston -1.5 @ 2.74 pinnacle Myers is coming of allowing just 1 run in the 11-2 win over the Chicago Cubs, and has been very good at home, going 9-0 with a 1.96 ERA in 15 starts. He is 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA in 5 starts against San Diego and like the Houston bats to give him some run support like they did yesterday, where they scored 5 runs. Richard starts for San Diego and he has pitched well too this season, but with the Padres having won just 3 of their last 11 games in Houston, hard to see them doing well when they are up against a very good home pitcher, and they have struggled to get the hits, let alone the runs April picks: 20-28 (-2.70)
