I've got a lot more but this only one priced up as of yet... 16:00 Leicester Sticking with Burnt Oak, and think he can get the better of the big danger Mannlichen. Was engaged to go to Doncaster at the weekend but that was abandoned, Burnt Oak ran a superb race last time, finishing a staying on 3rd. He was well backed all day and although he got going late, he finished very well. That was over 2m4f, as is today’s trip. However, Leicester is a much more testing track than Doncaster, and it’ll feel like an extra furlong or so, which will be right down Burnt Oak’s street. He’s only been raised 1lb for that effort, which is lenient to say the least, as I expected him to go up by a couple more, especially as he’s quite well in on his second place finish at Newcastle almost two years ago, off a mark of 121. He’s got a bit of a fight on his hands if he’s to beat Mannlichen, but I think he’ll go very close to, and the 8/1 on offer is a very tasty price. Going win only as not going to get much back if he does place. He should be well up to winning this sort of race, however. Re: Jump Racing - Weds 2nd Feb 4.00 Leicester Amuse Me @ 8/1 Bet 365 Has impressed over hurdles since moving into handicapped company winning three on the bounce in October/November last year. Had risen to a mark of 115 before he ran on Fakenham last time out and came in third behind I've been framed on ground that was too soft for him. Goes off the same mark today and with conditions more suitable and the champ back in the saddle has chances here.
