Player Performance System- Using stats from www.cricinfo.com

Recently I have been thinking of a cricket system in time for the world cup and also all the series’ s we have. One I have looked at is the previews that www.cricinfo.com give before each game. They always choose one player from each game and have them selected as “one to look out for”. What I am thinking of doing is to back each player in theyre player performance stakes from Bet365 and Sportingindex. The reason i am doing Sportingindex as well is because sometimes these players can absolutely go mental and go way over they’re spread, resulting in even more profit then just a flat stake, although this can go against me if they don’t perform at all, im hoping in the long run it will balance out to a profit. As an example I have looked at 3 series, one from each format and here are the results... India V South Africa 1st ODI Virat Kohli- 54 Runs (54 points) Faf du Plessis- Did Not Play

2nd ODI Morne Morkel- 2 wickets + 1 catch + 6 runs (56 points) Murali Vijay- 16 runs + 1 catch (26 points)

3rd ODI JP Duminy- 52 runs + 1 wicket (62 points) Yusuf Pathan- 1 wicket + 59 runs (69 points)

4/5 Won

Ashes 1st Test Mitchell Johnson- 0 Stuart Broad- 0

2nd Test Ricky Ponting- 9 runs (9 points) Kevin Pieterson- 1 catch + 227 runs + 1 wicket (257 points)

3rd Test Mitchell Johnson- 63 runs + 9 wickets (243 points) James Anderson- 4 wickets + 1 catch + 3 runs (93 points)

4th Test Micheal Hussey- 8 runs + 1 catch (18 points) Ian Bell- 1 run + 1 catch (11 points)

5th Test Micheal Clarke- 4 runs + 2 catches + 41 runs (75 points) Graeme Swann- 2 wickets + 36 runs (76 points)

4/10 Win

New Zealand V Pakistan T20

1st T20 Shahid Afridi- 20 runs (20 points) Nathan McCullum- 0

2nd T20 Abdul Razzaq- 1 wicket + 14 runs (34 points) Adam Milne- Did Not Play

1/3 Win In total we have 9/18 WON, however a couple went well over 200 points so overall we would have seen a profit. I will be doing this for as many cricket games as possible starting from tomoraws One Day Internationals. 10 points will be staked for Bet365 and 0.2 points will be staked for Sportingindex.

Re: Player Performance System- Using stats from www.cricinfo.com Australia V England 2nd ODI Watch out for... Remember Nathan Hauritz? He's that spinner Australia had been grooming for two years only to discard him on the eve of the Ashes in favour of a one-day specialist who failed to hold his place after two Tests. And now that one-day specialist, Xavier Doherty, has been cut from the limited-overs team, leaving Hauritz as the main man for the World Cup. He hasn't played for his country since November 5, and rest assured he wants to stick it to the selectors who didn't stick with him. Like Hauritz, Matt Prior didn't play the opening ODI in Melbourne. Davies was the preferred gloveman, which was an odd choice given Prior's powerful striking and impressive form during the Ashes. But come World Cup selection time, England went with the experience of Prior, and as a result he's finished his Twenty20 stint with Victoria and flown to Hobart to join the one-day squad. He'll open the batting with Andrew Strauss, and the Australians know that if they don't get rid of Prior early, he could be a matchwinner. Unfortunately Bet365 have none of the players up. Buy Nathan Hauritz Points @ 38 Sporting Buy Matt Prior Points @ 53 Sporting Total Staked- 18.2 Points Total Returned- 0 points
