Betting knowledge? what is it worth?

Hello folks, I'm new to the forum and have been betting betting to varying degrees for the past few years. I'm a sucker 5 horse ew accumulaters and patents. My preferences are Wolves, southwell and lingfield. Like most of you I go through great runs and real ruts. However, unlike a lot of you lovely people I know nothing about handicaps and marks. My choices are based on Time Form. To me they seem frighteningly accurate. The other choice is.my own feeling on horses that are new, ones I have backed before or ones that I have not backed.I. the past. So, my question is, is it fairly obvious how the handicap works and should I open my eyes or should remain a pretended to the thrown and let time form do the work? good luck!
