atkinsonj
Been pondering over this the last few days. Your in a tourney and you have 25BB and a short stack has 5BB what is your range of calling his all-in?? i have came up with that i would be calling with pocket pairs JJ up and A10 up am i playing to tight?? Samba_SamPa
Re: Range against short stack It depends on the situation. Just one example - if you're on the bubble, then it is worth more you keeping the short stack in the tournament so you can pressure other, larger, stacks
averick
Re: Range against short stack Generally, if he was in the SB and I was in the BB, I would call an extremely wide range. If I was in any other position but last to act, then yea would tighten up abit, say 66+, KQs+, A9s+, AJo. Havent played a tourney in a long time so no idea whether I would reshove those smaller pocket pairs in late position. Tournament situation matters too as Samba mentioned.
