Winter Racing - Any Solutions?

With the Boxing day racing due to be decimated due to the snow and no racing due this week is there anything more that courses can do to cope with snow and frozen tracks? Or does the costs outweigh any benefits? What about pumping hot water around specially made blankets that are laid over the tracks, like a giant radiator (appreciate the area that is covered) or is there a way the soil can be heated? This would be almost impossible for many smaller tracks but some of the premier course might deem it possible. I suppose a lot depends on the racecourse in general and all the health and safety issues With the ongoing issue of the levy payment and now the lack of racing its going to be tough going forward.
