glad to see someone likes BC,could go close 3.20 SOUTHWELL BEN CANTOR 20-1 0.5pt ew(STAN JAMES) Ben cantor is very well weighted here,has beating of royal holiday on turf form over 7f on recent form..Beat Royal holiday by 7 lengths at Yarmouth last month and was staying on and now meet sand Royal holiday on better terms even than that race.. That day was running off a mark of Royal holiday was running off a mark of 54,bel cantor off a mark of 64...Today bel cantor has a turf mark of 63,royal holiday a all weather mark of 61,bel cantor is half a stone better off if you include the 7 pound claimer from that race,plus it was on soft ground which is similar to the conditions here at southwell.. It is also well in against eastner hills who it has never beaten but wasn't far away on it's turf runs and is better off in the weights now..Plus eastern hills has never run here at southwell so is an unknown in that respect.. Be cantor won a class 3 handicap here in february over 7f off a mark of 83.And a replication of that run should see it get competetivve here.Its probably more of sprinter than a stayer but risking a small punt that it stays this far:ok 12.20 SOUTHWELL LUJIANA 22-1 1pt ew(Stan James) Lujiana has been running on turf of late,and running poorly to boot...Form of 7/10 10/14 7/15 12/13 and 11/11 from it's last 5 is not the form of horse you would put any great deal of investment in.. However connections now send it back to southwell,southwell is where this horse is more at home..Also they book J fanning who rode the horse the last time it even placed,here at southwell on the 18th march,when it finished a length and half behind Bookieindex boy over the minimum sprint trip.. It was unlucky that day and was staying on the business end..and would have won if there was another 200 yards to a furlong imo..That was off a mark of 59 in a class 5 race,tomorrow it runs off a mark of 57 in a class 6 race..It was carrying 6 pound as a penalty for win 2 days before over C&D,plus is was one pound out of the handicap.. In that win 2 days before hand again over 5 stayed on at the business end..Again Fanning was the jockey that day..It's form since its first run at southwell in February 2008 is 1325(13)(11)81548889(10)(10)115(1) 137(10)7(12) (11)..Not exactly sea the stars.. However the form at southwell in the same period is 12115(11)13..The 11th was a poor run which has to be allowed for but the when it was 5th it was badly hampered and out of room and tried to get out with no avail..The 11th just didnt fire and was eased down a furlong out.. .Form with fanning up at southwell is 113..They reunite tomorrow although for the first time over the extra furlong,but has stayed on strongly in most of its runs over 5f at southwell.It is it's second run after long break(111 days) and should be fresh now after recent pipe opener and if the pace is right,it could go very close off this mark EDIT--LUJIANO IS NOW BEST PRICE 16-1 since posted in BOTB comp...Im the new hugh taylor....not
