  1. Well I am back on the 5 seat STT's on Prima for some light entertainment - where the blinds double every ten hands, so its not pretty and it definitely isn't poker!! :lol What it does mean though is that my tight ass has to loosen up somewhat, but they very soon turn into crapshoots ** Game ID 1029691252 starting - 2006-11-10 22:52:00 ** Malouine [Hold 'em] (320.00|640.00 No Limit - STT) Real Money - JohnLB23 sitting in seat 2 with $680.00 - hawkon sitting in seat 4 with $3310.00 [Dealer] - 2damnhype sitting in seat 5 with $530.00 2damnhype posted the small blind - $160.00 JohnLB23 posted the big blind - $320.00 ** Dealing card to 2damnhype: 9 of Clubs, Jack of Clubs hawkon folded 2damnhype went all-in - $530.00 JohnLB23 called - $690.00 JohnLB23 shows: Ace of Hearts, Ace of Diamonds Whoops!! ** Dealing the flop: Jack of Hearts, Queen of Diamonds, Jack of Spades Woo Hoo ** Dealing the turn: Queen of Hearts Woo Hoo Woo Hoo Woo Hoo ** Dealing the river: Queen of Spades Oh Boo Hoo JohnLB23 wins $1380.00 from the main pot :rollin

  2. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations Sportingodds go 4/5 on Great Britain to lose all 4 Tri-Nations matches this year (they were Evs prior to the weekend) Any takers, or am I wasting my money. I have absolutely no qualms at all about backing against my home nation, seems to me that we always fall short when Down Under - despite all the bullish talk before hand

  3. Re: Snooker - Irish Professional Championship Nice going David, looking good for Doherty now. Just had a thought - Doherty played a match on Monday, two yesterday, has this final today (best of 17?) and then tomorrow has got Ding in the Premier League. Ding had a bad week against Jimmy, but with Doherty having a busy week and Ding possibly feeling he has something to prove the 6/5 at Coral and BetFred might be worth a sniff.

  4. Re: Sitting Out on Final Table I don't want anyone to think I was being critical of anyone sitting out, was curious to know if there was some strategic reason. In the end i think I would have benefitted more from the additional hour in bed!!

  5. Re: Sitting Out on Final Table Its only the 2nd or 3rd time i have played this freeroll. It starts at 8.30pm, gets about 230 entrants, a lot of whom sit out all the way through. The final table started after 11.30pm - so it was a long night. I wasn't really thinking about the Boss Media 'only one at a time' issue. It was more a 'is this a strategy that anyone had come across' question. In terms of $ per hour its a real waste of time, but in terms of experience etc i think they are worth playing.

  7. Have just made the final table of the $50 Free Roll on Virgin Poker, and there are two players sat out. Can anyone explain to me the merits of doing this - surely you battle through these crapshoots so you can play at the end? I mean its not as if the prize money is worth a great deal.

  8. I know its a long way off, but I noticed that sportingOdds had gone up with their market for who would make the European team for the 2008 Ryder Cup. Luke Donald Yes 1/10 No 5/1 Sergio Garcia Yes 1/10 No 11/2 Henrik Stenson Yes 1/7 No 4/1 David Howell Yes 1/6 No 7/2 Colin Montgomerie Yes 1/3 No 9/4 Paul Casey Yes 1/6 No 7/2 Jose-Maria Olazabal Yes 5/4 No 4/7 Padraig Harrington Yes 1/6 No 7/2 Darren Clarke Yes 1/6 No 7/2 Lee Westwood Yes 5/6 No 5/6 Ian Poulter Yes 5/6 No 5/6 Robert Karlsson Yes 7/4 No 2/5 Johan Edfors Yes 11/4 No 1/4 Nick Dougherty Yes 11/2 No 1/10 Paul McGinley Yes 3/1 No 2/9 Thomas Bjorn Yes 11/10 No 4/6 Graeme McDowell Yes 7/2 No 1/6 Miguel-Angel Jiminez Yes 10/3 No 1/5 Justin Rose Yes 7/2 No 1/6 Have seen this market offered in the past, and am pretty sure that players of the calibre of Donald and Garcia would have been 'no offers' - the only way I can see them failing to make the side is through injury, they both play a lot of their golf in America and so have definitely benefited from the introduction of the World List qualification. Would be a bit of a shock if Casey and Harrington failed to make it, but as its singles only those four are way too short for me. The ones that interest me are: Darren Clarke Lee Westwood Clarke's year has been well documented and he has stated that his sons are his priority over golf. It will be interesting to see how his schedule pans out. If he isn't playing a great deal then I cannot see him being able to rely on Faldo giving him a wildcard entry. Bearing this in mind I reckon the 7/2 for him not to be playing in 2008 could prove a pretty big price. Lee Westwood, he has been one of the stars of the last two Ryder Cups, he fully justified his wildcard pick this year. His career hasn't got back to the heights of the turn of the century, but he does seem to be getting some of his game back. Think 5/6 to play is a fair price.
