Some of the healthy ones are re-trained for dressage etc
Some go to charitable foundations or for breeding
A sad but unfortunate part of racing which you wont see on Sky racing / RUK or in the RP or bookmakers advertising and is swept under the carpet so to speak is that a lot of young horses that dont make the grade or long term injury horses who dont qualify for the above are euthanized due to the sheer numbers of them and the cost of keeping them and the age they could possibly live to
