Re: Sw14
It ran much better yesterday!:wall 2nd at 14/1! Perhaps you were thinking ahead of your time, mate!;)Monday 4th September 4.00 NEWCASTLE Oeuf A La Neige -
Re: System Building Days Of The Week I think if a certain day of the week consistently loses money, then it has no part to play in a successful money-making strategy. If a certain type of race produced poor returns consistently, you'd filter them out for sure, so why not omit a consistently poor day?

Re: Sunday Bankers A bit late: but i fancy MAMBO SUN in the 2.30 Fontwell.

Re: Rejuvenated 8yr old Handicap Chase System Re: your lays. Are you going for fixed profit or fixed liability? That is the only way to work out your winnings. If you're going for 1pt liability, your winnings are 1pt divided by the odds of the horse. If its 1pt fixed profit, you win 1pt, but your liability is 1pt multipled by the horses odds. Does that help?

Re: Hows your week so far All this talk of transactions and people asking questions about profitability etc: it smells of betfair forum to me.

Re: Kempton 2/9
Great race from Kandidate!:clap3.10 Kandidate - Sanders on board & Trainer seems confident. 3.40 Banknote - will like the trip & runs better in big fields. -

Sticking with Peppertree Lane in next but think Quizzine has an EW chance' date=' especially if 1st time blinkers do the trick. Will have a small EW bet[/quote'] :clap Forecast paid £69! Hope you had some of that! -
Re: Why would you share an idea that is making money But I'd rather share a winner and lose a point or two off Sp if necessary to get a winner back off someone else. Share the wealth and beat the bookies!

Re: Haydock 2/9
Cape Royal could have won by a greater margin today. Spencer never touched him and eased him down at the line.Cape:wall Royal backed it last week at Epsom & Ryan Mooe didnt get it exactly right, Spencer did. He spreadeagled them & won easy enough although the winning margin was tight. How many times do i back horses & they win NTO????:wall -

Re: Wolves 2/9 Hoh Wattanite in the 9.30. Ran really well to win last time out and the 3 horses directly behind on that day have all gone on to win since.

Re: Haydock 2/9
Cashel Mead will be my banker of the day. Loves the mud and should go well once more. I'd have loved a bigger price, but 5/1 will have to do!:hopeIn the first Cashel Mead his last 6 runs when grounds been soft he's won them all. This horse loves the rain and it looks like it's going to be heavy ground tomorrow looks the one to be on. -
Re: Haydock Sprint Cup I'm an atheist, so I'll be backing Reverence.

Re: A little goalscorer fun
I'm sick of having similar conversations with people who complain that betfair's place odds are never as high as 1/4 of the win odds. When in reality they should be as low as 1/8, because the win element of your bet is a loser if an eachway selection comes 2nd or 3rd. I'm glad you've also pointed this out, I thought it was me going mad!Not too sure about the odds being better than 'to score' odds, its not just 1/2 odds. Many punters forget to factor in the losing win bet. Many times Ive heard people in my shop say "Its 20/1 ,1/5 odds is still 4/1". WRONG. Its 4/1 for the place but £1 ew would return £5 for a £2 stake, thats a 20/1 shot becoming 6/4!!! So a 4/1 goalscorer here would be 2/1 for the place part. £1 ew would return £3 for a £2 stake. So you're only getting 1/2 on your whole stake. Its the possible bonus of a full payout that gives it any extra value. Sorry to sound like Im ranting and you probably know all this. It just irritates hearing people at work misunderstand the real "value" of eachway bets. -
Re: Thursday bankers
This horse should have won easily, I thought the jockey had a poor ride and held a poor position throughout the race, on what seemed to be the fastest horse in the field.3.25 Pride of Nation. -
Re: "Place" Query Rafa, 2.0 is not half the odds of 4.0. It is one third. 4.0 = 3/1 2.0 = evens.

Re: muppet system It's your system and none of my business, but I can't help thinking you've got the staking plan all wrong. Your first issue is the strike rate, but that will improve as league form settles down. But surely you shouldn't be risking 10 times more money on a 8/5 selection than you do on a 1/2 bet. Simple dutching each day would reduce your losses from £46 to £14.75.

Re: Rio on the flat 06 :clap Fantastic work there, Rio. Very interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing.

Re: York 24/08 Reverence in the 2.50. I'm not convinced the favourite Dandy Man will like the cut in the ground: I think he'd like it a bit firmer. Pride of Nation in the 3.25 No write-up, but I just think this horse is far too good for the others.
