Kamilla Rakhimova/Caroline Dolehide over 20.5 games at 1.71 with Coolbet
Both are adept on the surface, Dolehide holding her serve quite steady lately and the courts should suit both players.
Hailey Baptiste to beat (1st set) Whitney Osuigwe at 1.50 with Coolbet
Baptiste is 1.42 to win outright but Osuigwe is so bad it should take ages for her to win a set here but I can't bet on the sethandicap as Coolbet haven't got that option available on this match. Hailey wont be close to losing first set.
Varvara Gracheva to beat (-1.5 sets) Petra Kvitova at 3.20 with Coolbet
A bit to early in the comeback for Petra here. Varvara even gives 2.05 to win outright.
I were convinced she would make it hard for Joint and she did. I wasn't convinced she would win. You could have gone +1.5 sets for Björklund. But yesterday I was convinced Michael Mmoh would win 2-0 easily and sure he did. Joint will go out in first round of maindraw unless she gets a really trashy opponent.
Well it wont get any better, trust me and look at my prediction of Mirjam Björklund beating Maya Joint. Mirjam holds her serve quite steady so far in Indian Wells but Joint has struggled badly.
JK Trotter has a career high of 176 on 17 february 2025 and is now ranked 181 but still seems like he's reached his peak because he's only beaten Taro Daniel and Ryan Seggerman in his last 3 matches. Not much to go by but I saw Trotter last season, he was decent but didn't reach any major milestones and hasn't done so until now either.
Joint is struggling to put Zakharova away and that looks good for Mirjam Björklund tomorrow since I can sign the paperwork that Mirjam will give Joint plenty of questions to think about.
When things get tough Gaston stops moving and that's exactly what he's done right now, I'm not even sure he will beat JK Trotter since he is the headcase that he is.
We have a potential betting opportunity in IW WTA qualifiers tomorrow if Maya Joint comes through against Zakharova. She plays Mirjam Björklund from Stockholm, Sweden. A player I know very well and she played some lights out tennis in round 1 when beating Olivia Gadecki. I don't know yet the odds on Mirjam but she's ranked far below her peak at around #120 but she's a talented girl but above 25 years of age which isn't good and she still hasn't reached top 100. But still might be worth backing to beat Joint or at least make it rather difficult for Joint if that gives a decent price.
JK Trotter is a player not to be backed anymore I can tell, he's already peaked at around #150 so no more backing of JK Trotter for me at least in the future, he's going to fall down lots of positions on the ranking.
It was painful to see Maya Joint playing Carson Branstine in Cancun but just last week she played something way ahead of what she performed in Cancun. I were as chocked as @CzechPunter to see Joint losing as big to Branstine as she did when Joint is such a massive talent compared to Branstine.
