  1. Re: July 22 - July 28

I doubt it' date=' im tempted with a Wawrinka 2-0 bet! Waiting to see if the odds drift to around evens![/quote'] He has a great incentive to go all the way now too.Never a better chance to win this competition and I'm sure he'll be motivated in front of the home crowd. He's gone fairly well on the clay this season and with a chance opening up to win now he should really want it,Especially after a poor Wimbledon and a disappointing final vs Mahut.

^^ That was to be expected. I think it's normally acceptable, unnless this happens in LIVE betting and you cover the original bet after the odds change. This happened to me last week at Pinnacle, and I insisted on cancelling both bets. They were reluctant, but in the end they refunded the cover bet as well. However, they blocked my account for betting and both deposit and withdrawal actions :-) Only after I complained they allowed me to withhdraw the balance and we split. My local bookie is a rascal, but at least he never voids bets because of wrong odds.
That suck's,I thought Pinnacle was suppose to be one of the better book's in that respect.

WTA Bastad Zako vs Fat Serena OVER 17.5 games (Slightly above evens in most of the bookies) (5/10) Another line influenced by the "celebrity factor". Zako is streaky player and she is on the run. She is pretty dangerous on clay, and she already did beat Serena on clay in 2009. They played 3 matches on clay so far and two were three-setters and one Serena won 6-4 6-4. I am not saying that Zako will win most of her service games, but the way Serena hands out her own serves, she should be able to get couple of breaks. Add 4 hold serves and we're home. Fully in her capabilities considering Serena probably does not care much about Bastad tournament. edit: also following Foggy to bt Mugro, GL
Good price's around a Zak performance today but Williams has been ploughing through opponent's so far.Very hard to see past her winning this and the final.I hope you're right though because I followed CzechPunter on the Zak outright and wouldn't mind a run for our money!:hope

3pts J.Monaco to beat N.Almagro 2.62 Bet365 1pt J.Monaco to win 2-1 5.50 Bet365 These 2 have played 8 times. Almagro leads 5-3. However, 1 of those was on grass and 3 of the other 7 were before 2008. In their last 3 encounters, all on clay Monaco leads 2-1 and more importantly Monaco is in some serious form right now. He always plays well in Germany and has points to protect before the next big slam. He don't want to be drifting down in the rankings. He beat both Monfils and Paire in straight sets and that takes some doing. Almagro beat Lopez 2-0 also but Lopez isn't a big clay courter. Almagro is a very good clay courter but he is still a mind-bomb and always gives his opponent opportunities.
Going well so far here Fader but just to correct you on a minor point Monaco and Paire was 2-1 not 2-0.

WTA Bad-Gastein guard! Odds are not out yet, but next round Annika Beck should play with Karin Knapp. Annika won their only meeting this year, was the fav in that match, and is higher seed at Bad Gastein. Therefore I assume Knapp is going to be the underdog. However, Annika did not play Bad-Gastein so far, while Karin played semifinal here at 2007. Bad-Gastein is in high altitude, and some players have troubles to cope with that. Annika had MT in both R1 and R2 matches, probably because of bleeding nose. In addition to this, she is serving really bad, and Mandy Minella should have won their today's match. All in for Karin Knapp to bt Annika Beck once the odds are out!
Depend's on the odd's for me.Knapp beat a decent clay courter(Cadantu) in the last round but dropped a set.Beck look's a good prospect and with the draw opening up today both player's might feel like they're favourite's now and feel the pressure.I can imagine either one going a set up and losing their head.Knapp's in some steady form but her loss to Beck was only a few tournament's ago.
  6. Re: July 15 - July 21 Glad to see you have Paire backed Fader,I have him in an outright bet.Not expecting him to be celebrating come the end of the week,But I think he might have it in him to go deep in one of these soon like he did in Rome.I was expecting a quarter final run with him here so a loss tomorrow would be disappointing,So hopefully like you wrote the good Paire show's up. Still waiting for the Monfils-Paire clash as well!

  7. Re: July 15 - July 21 Any thought's on Bautista-Agut vs Verdasco tomorrow?I think Agut could spring an upset,He's been playing some relatively good Tennis as of late. The last game I saw him play was Ferrer at Wimbledon and he impressed me there taking a set off the World no.3(!).Even though Ferrer had a less than stellar tournament I think he was very good in that match and Agut pushed him a little.Verdasco's been great for the last couple of week's but Sunday could have signaled the end of his strong run. He's played a lot of Tennis lately and I think it may be taking it's toll.Bautista Agut @3 look's a bit long to me.

  8. Re: July 8 - July 14 He had to lose with so many of us behind him:wallOne of those matches where everything pointed in his favour and it still didn't come together.I think I'll give him a few more chance's if the price is right and he's considered a big underdog. It's hard to gauge just how much he's giving to his game right now.Withdrawing from Wimbledon could've been a sign to stay away as it really doesn't make sense to me how he could play around it but not in it.Am I right in saying that he also has no professional coach right now!? Lot's of shock's today.Looking ahead Verdasco and Dimitrov should be a very good match-up.I'm not much of a match better to be honest,I find it a lot harder to see value compared to the outright's when it can be fairly evident at time's there's value with such big price's floating around but of course they don't hit as much. With Verdasco and Dimitrov I'm wondering is over's a market worth looking at?Both will be feeling great after their impressive win's today,I just find it hard to see one walking over the other. Then again,They've never met so there's no previous record to go with.Dimitrov can be got @2.38 right now also which look's interesting to me. Any thought's?:loon

If you look at the stats you can clearly see that Cadantu is dedicated to clay. In her career she has a record of 239/118 on clay whilst on any other surface it is 21/34 (hard, indoors and grass!).. Peer is more or less the other way around 90/54 on clay (which ist still quite good) but 226/121 on hard for example. That should be the reason why Cadantu is rated as favorite. Considering this, the clay records of this year (13/8 for Peer, 24/13 for Cadantu) and the head to head (1-0 Cadantu) i would stick with the romanian. But it will surely be a close one i think. I would recommend ML, smal HC (-1,5) or overs.. only small of course. But I'm new here, so any of this should be treated with caution :cow
That explains Cadantus price a little bit more.Good post and:welcome.
  10. Re: July 8 - July 14

Anything about Peer? I think she is underestimated.
Cadantu with the only win between the two which was on clay so she should probably be favourite I would've thought.I agree 1.73-2.3 is a little too short-long but I'm not too keen on backing myself as I haven't seen either play a large amount.
  11. Re: July 8 - July 14

Hey Fader. Can I get your thoughts on the Monfils Kohlschreiber match? Looking to balance out my losses on Troicki and Sijsling. 2 bad beats. Im on Monfils to win.
Kohlschreiber will beat Monfils because all the signs point to a Monfils victory and all of us want him to win. :unsure Fader you've probably been asked this many time's but do you only bet with Bet365?Just wondering because I followed your Robredo bet the other day @2 when you had 1.8 and Monaco 2-0 can be got at 2.2.
  12. Re: July 8 - July 14

wow Robredo was shocking! on the plus side though Monfils looks impressive! 1 win, 1 loss and the outright loss on robredo takes thread for me to +14.35
It's really weird how he's playing such good stuff here like he did in Halle but felt the need to withdraw from Wimbledon. He's got a great record against Kohlshy,So I'd say the only risk is he might take his foot off the gas.But really he should be beating him.I'd like to see a Paire Monfils semi-final.
  13. Re: July 8 - July 14

agree on Monaco hence the 1pt stake. Depends what Dimitrov turns up mate but looking at his first round match today' date=' not the right one. He struggled today to beat a nobody really 2-1. Will have to see how that one pans out.[/quote'] Yeah thats not a good sign anyway.I've gone off him a bit since Queen's,Had him backed there and he underperformed.I'm starting to wonder whether the hype and constant spotlight on him are starting to affect his game.
  14. Re: July 8 - July 14

Loving the name of the tournament :D 1pts G.Dimitrov to win ATP Bastad 9.00 Bet365 Looking through the draw here I would say Robredo has a great chance too. He should get to the semi-finals no worries atall and would face an out-of-form Berdych who hasn't been playing well on any surface but most of all on the clay. Robredo has beaten all these players in the past and in the final he would face for me Dimitrov who I would hope feels he has something to prove all be it abit of a meaningless tournament. He should get to the quarters where he will face Monaco. If he can beat Monaco he would have the Verdasco/Almagro winner which is also winnable if he can serve well.
What worries me about Dimitrov is that Monaco is 3-0 in front on the H-2-H between the two. After that he'd play either Almagro,Who has great history here and has won the only meeting between the pair,Or Verdasco,Whom he has never played so I don't know what would happen there.I think not only will he have to work hard this week but he'll also need that extra bit of luck or something fortunate to go his way if he has to beat Monaco and Almagro in back-to-back matches.I was actually going to back Monaco when his price was above Dimi's but now it's dropped down below it slightly. I agree with you about Robredo and Monfils.Monfils big worry may be the first hurdle as Mathieu's had his number before,It should be interesting.
