Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Who compiles bookmakers odds?...do they have their own opinion?..Nevermind...the 4th test odds almost identical to 3rd test....well I'll tell you all here and now..the draw will not happen..you can scratch that...at around 2/1...that is the lay...two teams who will be bowling out of their skins to get a win...and I will be surprised if Tuesday is required...WEATHER will not be an issue for 5 days...so lay the draw, is what I say.

Re: Capital One Cup > 5th - 7th August
Now having watched black pool on Saturday...I think they are very poor odds, considering, ince has intimated..this comp is very low on his list...expect changes from Saturday...I'll be laying blackpool at these oddsMonday night preview: 3pts Blackpool to beat Preston 31/20 BetVictor Blackpool look a nicely balanced side to me and I think they have that little bit of extra quality to get the job done here. Clearly they’ll have to weather a bit of a storm to begin with and silence a potentially big home crowd but Paul Ince was no stranger to that in his playing days and he’ll make his side aware of that. Ultimately these cup ties generally cone down to a matchwinner or two and they belong in the Blackpool side for me. Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
any chance on your thoughts for the Durham test?..August 9th it starts..I eagerly awaitim always right.:) -
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
You were correct........in the end, but every blind squirrel finds the occasional nut...thanks for all your positive input on this test, watch out for those splinters....Btw...the weather was always forecastim not to far from ground and rain looks very likely but has done for a while. -
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
Thoroughly amusing his posts' date=' it's as if he can foresee the future with certainty, his picks for this test have been way off however if it ends up being a draw he'll be back here claiming he's the second coming of Nostradamus[/quote']list were I have been way off..list were I have been spot on in this series...please -
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Play abandoned....ENGLAND RETAINS ASHES...no meteors...rained all afternoon as expected....sorry to disappoint the non believers...YEEHAA...CORALS...PAY UP...

Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL......YOUR WRONG..................Turns out they only need 30 mins to prepare the pitch Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2 -
A MORE CERTAIN THING.......YOU WILL NEVER EVER SEE.... The draw today, in the 3rd test....more chance of a meteor striking earth today, than this not happening today....The easiest money you will ever pick up off the ground...1/8 bet victor.....1/10 most others....FREE MONEY..IM TELLIN YA...Go and pick it up.....even if it stops raining....it still takes 90 mins minimum to clear the surface afterwards..
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Mate....even if they get the thumbs up....they need a very min of 90 mins to prepare the pitch....draw 100%.....
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread England....will IMO use it as a defensive net session,,come what may...they will be thinking about Durham...and putting tired legs into these bowlers...
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread I'm sure your right, and he also had a few more runs in his mind I'm sure of that...it's not just his decision others will have a say..but the fact that ENGLAND can't win has to be number1...IMO...anyhow we will see what the weather brings in the morning....
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread He won't want to lose....with the possibility of a 2-2 draw...still going for him...with only a retention and stopping a humiliating whitewash...he won't give England a sniff...he is in the running for two results...why would he ever want to bring a 3rd into it?..have you seen the Aussie media tear a captain to shreads for cocking up?....ask Kim Hughes
-
Re: Mr R P McNamara Just another day, just another jockey, who played exaggerated waiting tactics...in Ireland....how many times do you need to be burned, before you stop putting your hand in the fire?...I stopped a while ago, but the scars are still fresh...bottom line your choice.

Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread So if and a big if.....we had a full day...any captain worth his salt would never ever give a team less than 4 an over to win a match.....so he needs a total that is 100% safe...yes he needs to bat first thing if we start on time...even if he goes for 30 then declares at 11:30...that then goes to about 4.5... Just out of reach..but only just...HOWEVER....we won't get 90 overs...in the day...if Clarke did not bat in the morning and by tea England were 220-3...needing another 100 or so...the Aussie press would hang him....he will not allow England any chance of winning this...The weather will win and be a draw...if u ain't had a bet,,,don't waste your money...wait till Thursday.
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread So...We lost what was expected today....if we start on time tomorrow...Australia need to bat still, 350 is min....he will not want to give England more than 70 overs max...We won't get a 90 over day...my money is still on 60 overs...bad light n rain will be the final winner here,,,the draw is now no price, and if you have backed the draw, and you don't fancy the heart attack...trade out at 1/7..... It will be a draw still IMO.
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread All out 368.....159 runs behind....maybe 50 overs left today. After interruptions..they need to go at 5 an over...to have any chance of winning.....BUT ULTIMATELY IT'S THE WEATHER THAT WILL WIN...A draw will still be the result....
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Yep....money to be made.....Australia 2nd innings...CHRIS ROGERS...3/1..betfair...as he will go for it from the off...Australia need to get 200 plus in their 2nd inns to stand any chance,,,yeah for me he will be top batsman...This will be treated like a 40 over game by Australia...they need to score quick..2.30 pm-4.30 pm..is the rain...but the longer these two hang around..the worse it gets...if they survive another hour till lunch..England will be over the moon..
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread 353-9....14/1...400 now...:puke
-
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Phase 1 today is complete..329-7..follow on avoided, 50 partnership up, I'd say, 2/1 now for a 400 plus score for England...

Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread
Instead of the 600ish I was expecting as I was watching Boro and just thought London Bridge had finished unplaced' date=' I got back 1401[/quote'] Nice wd -
Re: League Two 2013/14 > Winner
To add something to the outright thread' date=' Fleetwood and Scunthorpe are my L2 picks in what is a grand national style lottery of a division. Both have made some really strong signings which I don't think are reflected in the Pompey focussed odds. Why not Pompey? Question marks about manager and L2 favourites have an awful record of winning it - only 1 in the last 12 making them poor value as an outright proposition. Chesterfield have made strong signings too and are going for it budget wise but Im not convinced about Cook as boss - I know he had success in Ireland but nothing at Accrington told me he was about to replicate that in L2.[/quote'] About Chesterfield...for me they won't leak goals..a lot of clean sheets, will go far in this div -
Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread Ok....we will start on time..but between 2-5 is very doubtful....max today... 60 overs...for me...then the same Monday...no play in my book before 3pm tomorrow.....So knowing the rain is coming today...they may free up once they get the 34... Knowing they will be off for a few hours..BUT THIS GAME IS A DRAW..In no way can I see any other result.

Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
328....is about 2/9 in my book..that's all they are interested on at the moment...the other 70 will be very slow progress but who knows ..that must be a 4/1 chance...because tomorrow..will be plenty of cloud cover till 2pm..then some rain may come in...but wickets are more likely to tumble under cloud cover......100 runs....yeah 4/1... Is about right..Hi guys im quite heavily invested in the draw and England over 398 First innings score Do you think this is still on considering 3 wickets in hand and the current score?

Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread
which Durham are you looking at,,?....Heavy rain this Saturday...no way .....you may get the odd shower here and there, over 4-5 days, but nothing like we seen yesterday evening or this afternoon... SAT SUN MON...WILL BE RAIN FREE..FRIDAY, MAY GET A SHOWER LATE IN THE AFTERNOON...TUESDAY..is showing more cloud than the previous...however, 4 days of seem bowling, will be enough...and whoever bats first on this wicket..hold an advantage in my book...but your weather forecast is way ott
