Very unlucky Bart. Not an easy tourney with such a long late reg period I felt, so well done on a good cash, particularly as you only spent points. With a field of 17K you need a bit of luck to get really deep. Next time!!

Ul mate, missed it, difficult trying to rail with other games going on. I'm up to 40k, took a chance (more out of frustration than anything else) 2bet & 4bet JJ from EP against a defending small blind. Happy to see AK, even happier to see JJ hold. We live by such small margins. Not the greatest of moves but rather that than blind out, gives me options still.

If it works, don't knock it!! Take it down!!

Optimistically: To win a life changing amount ($25,000+) :ok Realistically: To satellite into a live tourney (will have to start playing sats, obv) To reconnect with the poker community and make friends. (I used to post a fair bit on UKGF before it died) To win a few 500+ runner MTTs (sub $5) To read poker mags when they arrive rather than months later when I have missed the freerolls.:lol

Given that there is a raiser, reraiser and an all in you cannot flat call with JJ imo as you are giving the players still to act the odds to call or even put you all in. The liklihood is that you are behind. At best you are up against a lower pair in the case of simoncc and AK or AQs from Haichan and possibly similar from franny. Say you call and there is an overcard to your Jacks (more than likely) on a 4-way pot and Haichan or franny shoves - could you call? I don't think so. You have an 18BB stack - you will get another opportunity. Your fold is correct I think. (of course I would have shoved and hit the quads, lol)
