  1. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Monday October 13th

Malta vs Italy – Total Over 3.5 @ 2.26 Marathonbet This is probably the game where we will see the most goals of the day. Italy are superb in attack, while Malta are terrible in defence. Malta is coming from the home defeat 0-3 to Norway, a game where they played really bad and got what they deserved. The small nation has good players on the third end of the field, but is always paying the defensive problems. I expect this to happen also tonight. Italy didn’t have motive and passion against a minor team like Azerbaijan, they played bad, people didn’t like what they saw. Coach Conte will make changes tonight in order to improve the performance of his team by giving playing time to some members that usually stay on the bench. Italy must win this game, otherwise it would be a catastrophe. I expect a lot of goals in this match.
Italy have not scored more than 2 goals in a match in their last 20 games except from a Hybrid Friendly game against Brazil club side Fluminense.
  2. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday October 10th First Wales goalscorer - Gareth Bale @ 4.00 with Paddypower or 3.70 with BetVictor I know a lot people cannot get much of a stake on with PP or BV but I think the above odds hold great value for those who can. Wales have their main star fit to play tonight. Bale holds the most attacking threat of any player in the Welsh squad by far. Although I expect Wales to lose tonight as they do not have their two most important central midfielders fit to play in Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey and their defence is shambolic (they were the first side to concede to Andorra in a competitive match in 4 years), I do expect them to get on the score sheet. And if they do get on the score sheet Bale is by far the most likely to be the man to do it. He is in great form with RM this season too. Bosnia are a good team but aren't the most disciplined at the back and will likely win the match through outscoring Wales rather than just shutting them out as they know in Dzeko & Ibisevic among others that they posses the fire power to do so. I feel BTTS & Over 2.5 goals is very likely in this match but I feel there is a lot of value in Bale being the first player to score for his team at odds of 4.00 are great as this also elimates any worry of Bosnia to score the first goal which could be very likely.

  3. Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 6th/7th

Well he is only playing for Maidenhead whilst he waits for a Football League club to offer him a deal. He used to play for the Maidenhead manager so that is why he has gone there to keep himself fit. He isn't on a contract so essentially as soon as he is offered a deal by another club he will be on his way. He really could leave at anytime which makes punting them purely based on him playing a long way in advance of the game (I wrote my previews on Sunday) is way too risky. As far as I am aware he hasn't left yet so I expect him to be playing tonight.
Ok. Thanks very much for the heads up Addpea.
  4. Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 6th/7th

I was hoping for a bigger price and I was also waiting make sure dj was going to be playing. He could leave the club at anytime and it would be a rotten bet if he wasn't playing. Interestingly he was actually off the pitch when Maidenhead came back to win on Saturday. Sent from my GT-I8190N using PL Forum
Why is this? Is he likely to not play tonight?
  5. Re: Vanarama Conference South/North 6th/7th Does anyone have any thoughts on Maidenhead Utd to win at home against Weston-Super-Mare tonight @ evens? Maidenhead haven't been in the best form this season and have only won one game at home all season but have two wins on the bounce now after signing DJ Campbell. He alone makes Maidenhead a much better proposition in all their games IMO.

  6. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 2nd

Hello Smurf! I live in Limassol and i am crazy Apollon fan! I strongly beleive that for this season we have the squad to challenge equally with Apoel for the title. We have some exceptional quality in both midfield and attacking line. Our defense is practically the Cypriot national team defense! I support your idea, that we are going there to score at least 1 goal! I dont know anything about hosts, i just read that they were very competitive against Real during the first half. If you are competitive against Real, you should score against Apollon i guess! For me BTTS is a MUST selection for this game. Astonishing is the price indeed! @2.50 offered by bet365! But please, i am OUT of this! As a fan, i am invited in a big Apollon party here in Limassol, therefore i will be very happy if we beat them by 1-0! Feel free to place your bet, because even if we lose, this one will be something like 3-1 Villareal announced today the death of their coach father..... See you with result mate! and money in pockets!
Thanks for your thoughts Delfino. I will definitely be putting medium stakes up on this bet @ 2.50. Good luck for tonight :ok
  7. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 2nd

VILLAREAL – APOLLON LIMASSOL Over 2.5 at 1.63 @ Marathonbet Villareal comes at this match with the necessity of the three points, after the draw against Gladbach at the 1st day of the group stage. The Spaniards have a very good tradition at their home games at Europa League, as they come from nine victories. Apollon Limassol, on the other hand, is of course the outsider for the win, but in the same team has shown an exceptional face at this year’s Europa League. The victories against Lokomotiv Moscow (1-4) and Zurich (3-2) have proved the attacking abilities of the Cypriot team, showing that Apollon is capable of scoring at tonight’s match as well. As a result, I expect a match with many goals, thinking that Over 2.5 is a very clever choice.
Nice write up AF13. Note my post above. If you feel Apollon can get on the score sheet then BTTS yes @ 2.50 has to be taken as the better value bet.
  8. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 2nd

villarreal v apollon are generous odds for both teams to score. the home team always play and open attacking style of football and their opponents have been high scoring team as well
Villareal v Apollon Does anybody have any more information on this match? Bet365 are offering odds of 2.50 for BTTS yes This seems very high considering Villareal are not known for their defensive qualities. The Cypriots have scored in their last 4 away games in the Europa League against Legia Warsaw, Lokomotiv Moskva and more notably against Lazio and Trabzonspor who are higher caliber teams especially at the back. Any more inforamtion would be great as this seems like cracking value?
  9. Re: Sky Bet Championhip > September 30th & October 1st

I agree all of us Wolves fans would be very disappointed not to be top of the league at the end of the night. I believe Dicko and Doherty are facing a late fitness tests but with Ricketts and Sagbo available I don't believe either will be risked. Our record at home is P4 W4 scored 6 conceded 1 (a penalty). I think that Grant Holt is an excellent signing for the visitors but he is the type of player that Danny Batth was built to play against. I would be surprised if we didn't have enough strength to see the job out tonight and I think the odds are pretty decent.
Thanks very much PokerWolf. I was hopeful that you would see this post as you have provided very good information on the Wolves team in past. Thanks for your input.
  10. Re: Sky Bet Championhip > September 30th & October 1st Wolves v Huddersfield I am looking at backing the home side here to retain their 100% record in the league at the Molineux this season. Wolves can be picked up @ 1.80 with Bet365 Huddersfield got their first victory in 6 at the weekend in their home tie against out of form Millwall and while I do expect Huddersfield to improve over the season from their poor start I am not sure going away to Wolves tonight will be a match they can take points from. Grant Holt is an excellent loan signing for them but may take a while to settle in. Wolves signed Yannick Sagbo on loan from Hull City yesterday and he is eligible to play tonight. A win here for Wolves takes them to the top of the league which should give them even more inspiration that usual to get all 3 points tonight. Wolves are a good team in this league and have a lot of strength in depth. They are playing well and are unbeaten in 7 games winning 4 of those. They played well, as did Reading on Sunday in the 6 goal thriller which ended 3-3. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any more input on this game or either team?

  11. Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th

Forest Green Rovers v Torquay Utd Forest Green Rovers to win @ 2.30 various (5/10 stakes) Although the odds have now dropped from the price I took last night I still think there is value. Forest Green Rovers host Torquay tonight down at The New Lawn. This is FGR's second successive game on their home turf following their 1-2 loss at the hands of league leaders Barnet. FGR are a good team in this league and I expect them to be amongst the play-off contenders come the end of the season. I feel they were unlucky to lose their match (conceading in the 90th minute) to Barnet after they seemed to have recovered from a not so impressive run in the league by winning Halifax in their previous home game followed by a draw and win away at Eastleigh and Dartford respectively. While Torquay are looking a very impressive young team they had a hard match away at Telford on Saturday in which they spent most of the second half playing with 10 men and then went down to 9 right at the very end and lost the game 4-3 giving Telford their first win of the season. A.Downes (D 12/3) & T.Ajala (M 12/1) have played every game this season for Torquay but will both be absent tonight through suspension. The Gulls now have to go on their travels for the second time in 3 days, but this time without 2 important regular starters in their ranks. After their performance on Saturday and with the strong performances of the home side I think there is value is backing Forest Green to take all 3 points in this contest.
Bet WON 2-1 It didn't start well as FGR went a goal down early on but managed to fight back and got the victory.
  12. Re: Vanarama Conference September 30th

I've been studying (and eventually betting) matches for more than a year now, involving sides that have had two or more men sent off in their previous matches, Torquay being one of them. The database is now at 291 matches in which the short-handed side is away (Torquay away to FGR today is the 292nd), and 378 matches in which they're home in their next one. There aren't that many in which a side loses away with two or more men sent off and then plays their next one away...but those that have amassed a 4-14-26 record in their next match. There have been nine matches involving England lower leagues sides from Championship to Conference in which their next match is away...they've gone 4-3-2, with both losses by sides getting odds of 6.0 and up. Torquay is unlikely to win...all short-handed away sides are 55-82-154 (19% wins), but they may well draw, and as 5dimes is offering 3.52 for the draw, I'm on it.
Torquay followed up a double red card Saturday with another one to the collection tonight.

  15. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th

Tottenham Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 1.9 Marathonbet I can't say I know too much about Partizan but Tottenham have scored 2 or more goals in 14 of the last 16 Europa League matches. It may be worth waiting for the Tottenham team news as I don't know how serious they are taking the competition.
I am leaning towards Over in Tott/Partizian match. Tottenham have WBA coming to them in EPL this weekend and should not be too concerned about that game. I hope they field a decent squad today. If they do, I think they score 2 goals. Not too familiar with Partizian's dfense but someone here stated it is not as strong as it has been on the past? They play very well at home and I think they can find the back of the net. I see a 2-1 or 2-2 game but would like to hear other's input. As for Celtic/RBS game, I think Celtic cover +1.5. Thoughts on this match?
Not that I am saying that Spurs won't be able to put a couple past Partizan but Adebayor & Chadli who together have scored 4 out of Tottenham's 7 league goals this term have both been rested for this game.
  16. Re: all lower leagues and Cups

Sweden Superettan 15/08 Varberg-Sirius Varberg: Last week won Landskrona 5-1 away from home and now it's five points away from the 3rd place. It is very strong at home and in 9 games there, has 4W-4D-1L record. Suspensions: Bjork (D, 3/0), Mellqvist (M, 9/2), Tillman (M, 8/0), Ayranci (A, 15/1) Sirius: Sirius has lost only once in its last 12 games, but has won one of the last five (1-3-1). Newcomers Sarfo and Saleh, both midfielders, are available for the match against Varberg. Suspensions: Sirelius (M, 3/0), Kack (D, 13/0), Runemo (A, 9/2). Prediction: Stake 3/10, Varberg (DNB)
Please excuse me but how does this injury news read? As in what do the numbers stand for for say Sirelius (M, 3/0) etc? I know this is the standard way of displaying this information but I haven't a clue how it works?
  17. Re: Finland » Veikkausliiga » Today 13th of August

Injuriesandsuspensions.com almost cover all leagues. Not 100% for all teams every week but useful info anyways. Finnish is a bit hard to understand but I sometimes translate it to english. I also think Mariehamn has an edge here and I like your bet. They signed important defender Kristian Kojola again' date=' he was a key player back in the days for them. Should be a boost also a nee goalkeeper came so more solid at the back now. VPS on a bad run and will miss Seabrook and Parikka but central defender Lathi returns. I will not bet on this game but a small win for Mariehamn is the most likely outcome but I can't exclude the draw. Goodluck[/quote'] Thanks for the advice Senk. Much appreciated. :ok
