  1. Re: One size fits all

Gday player... any clues as to what the single rule is... obviously has to be favourite..
Rileyev opened 2nd fav finished as 2nd fav Its a gimme opened 3rd fav finished as 3rd fav decision by one opened 2nd fav backed into fav So nothing to do with favs, though most will be at the front end of the market. Highest odds I've had which I actually backed were 8/1 but have had one win at 12's on the all weather but unfortunately I wasnt on it.
  2. Very quite in here on the systems front atm so I thought I'd pop in with a little system . Most systems are either race type or jumps/flat specific this one as the heading says fits all. Chase, hurdles, nhflat, handicap, maiden, novice, group, sellers, stakes, claimers, firm, fast, good to firm, good, yielding, soft, heavy, turf and all weather (even Southwell) from only 1 system rule :loon :loon :loon "Impossible, you need hours of form study, ratings, timeform etc etc " I hear the purist cry. ;) So I will attempt the impossible and armed only with 100 pts will try and make a profit or confine it to the systems graveyard :$ Fridays Bets all 5pts Muss 1.50 Allow me ....11/8 2.55 Amazing Star....9/4 Newb 3.15 Rileyev....11/4 3.50 Its a Gimme....9/2 Wolves 6.40 Decision by One....9/4 Dundalk 7.25 Choral Society....6/4 Tissue prices from Sporting Life :ok If the stewards think it belongs in the cheap seats (glory hunters forum) feel free to move it there ;)

  3. Re: A.I. Football

well done again today :ok can you tell me...what is a neural network and how do you make one?
Basically NN is a pattern finding algorithm, You feed in the raw data it analyses it an gives you the best option for that data. You then test that against new data and if it gives positive results then your in with a chance :hope Bit of a simplistic explanation as there is a bit more to it than that but it gives you an idea of what NN does. There is a link somewhere in thread #10 for a cheap off the shelf NN for excel. Grimsby (x) 3.5 Corals :) staked 10pts returned 35pts profit 25 pts overall staked 300 won 12 lost 18 return 407.5 profit 107.5 yield 35.83%
  4. Re: A.I. Football Decided to spend some time and re-write the data processing part of the program again due to last one being too buggy and constantly crashing which pissed me off :@ . Up and running again now so will continue from where I left off....... :hope staked 240 won 9 lost 15 return 301.5 profit 61.5 yield 25.62% This weeks victims All draws Blackpool 3.5 Bluesq Leyton O 3.6 VC Tranmere 3.5 VC Luton Town 3.6 VC Mansfield Town 3.5 VC All 10pt Stakes

  5. Re: Accumulators superior to singles Moggis I was once told by a mathematician friend of mine who works for the M.O.D that it is pointless placing a permed bet unless the sum of the multiplied odds of the lowest possible win is equal to or greater than the sum of the whole bet. ie a trixie = 3*doubles & 1* treble = 4 bets So the minimum odds should be 2.00 or evens because the min win is a double and 2*2 = 4 and gets you your money back the rest if any are the bonus His reasoning behind it was that if you are confident enough to place a perm bet then you at least should be confident enough to hit the minimum criteria and get your money back, with any other subsequent winners boosting the pot. And if you weren't confident then singles would be the better option. How true mathematically wise that is I dont know but it sounded logical to me after several pints. Maybe thats how Steele does his permed bets Never read the book so wouldnt know
