Since then the usual crap. Out tonight when loose player shoves on me when I have KK. he shows AQ diamonds. Hits runner/runner flush on turn and river.

    Re: Ongame $20k added series this week Can anyone work out the points system. Played last nights $1000 added. Finished 136. However on the table I am in 327 after 2 games with only 4.68points. The formula they list makes no sense. Lots ahead of me have only played 1.

    Don't think you can anymore. You will have to use another site like Dusk til Dawn or Poker Heaven. Poker Heaven has 3 skins and you can transfer cash between the skins, so u will be able to transfer any cash from Boss to another skin when they close the Boss skin

    I asked on the APAT forum about raked hands (poker.co.uk site) and Matt says tournament/STTs count. The Bad Beat Jackpot isn't running any more. I couldn't see the tourneys in the lobby yet either, but I believe registration only opens a few hours before the start, so I guess there's no panic.
    In the Poker Heaven lobby, but yes reg starts on day of tourny with 5000 cap

    Re: Hand - Close to winning 550 euro seat You really can't make these judgements without knowing what the raiser and caller have been doing all night. If they had been raising light then it could be a shove so long as you think he will fold to your shove.. With the stack size you cannot call. its fold or shove. However if one of the others already in the pot will often call light its a very dodgy shove. I would wait for a better hand. Other night when I won the $1000, on the final table one guy had been shoving all night light. He had a big stack. Doubled up twice with marginal Ax against him. However against another player who was shoving with a very limited range I would fold the same hand. You cannot apply the same rules. Its totally player dependent and you need to be very aware what the other players have been doing.

    Twisted Poker

    Most of the sites such as Ipoker seem now to be offering what they call innovative poker games. They seem to me to be simply a vehicle to drag more money from players without increasing rack. The latest incarnation is Twister poker, a 3 handed turbo Sit&go. You are supposed to see a wheel before the torny starts showing the prize you are playing for which could be up to a 1000x the $1 stake at the lowest levels. In my case I have now played 14 of the pre twister version and 3 of the twister. In the twister case I don't even see the wheel I assume because I don't have a stand alone flash player. Its an add on to the firefox browser. Not that i need to see the wheel. Because in every case where I have won I have won $2 the minimum prize which considering every sit & go has a buyin of $3 is an enormous rip off. Think i'll stick to normal sit & go's and happily pay the rake.

    Re: Poker computer help. you should be able to pick up a cheap desktop with something like an Athlon 3600+ processor. lap tops tend to be more expensive secondhand. Desktop needs 4gb of memory and pref a seperate graphics card. Lot of the cheaper second hand desktops tend to have built in graphics which will be slower. However you can pick up graphics cards like a Radeon HD 5000 card for less than £50 second hand. pretty simple to put it into the desktop. Rather than a laptop you can now pick up tablets for £100.
