  1. Had an early word for GEOS tomorrow at Fontwell. Will check it's form lines later but the extra 4f should suit & Henderson's horses are running much better now. Around 6-1 & there will be an early price on this race. Nothing in the race that frightens me off with them all having various hard luck stories over the years.

  5. Re: MY SATURDAY SINGLE 4th last week just out of the placings. Going back to the AW today with a horse i tipped 2 weeks ago - NO TIME in the 2.15 Wolverhampton. Meeting most of todays runners again, NO TIME enjoys a 3lb weight pull from Treasure Cay who beat it by 3/4l last time out. It also meets the others on the same terms with only dusty dazzler having a weight pull by 3lb but that finished 9thLTO. The trainer Polglaise blamed the defeat on the draw saying thaty he had a wide berth to overcome & nearly managed it. drawn 5 today in an 11 runner field should be able to stake its claim for this race. The price is 13/2 with Corals at the moment which I will take. The only negative is that the horse has never won on the track before. 5pts ew at 13/2.

  7. Re: Friday - Sandown cheers gaza & AK. the 2 market leaders went off at a ridiculous pace going 10l clear jumping the 5 fences down the back, BBreeze was off the poace throughout but came to the 3rd last just a length down then sat behind the leading 3 & jumped the 2nd last when Goldbrook fell in front of it. Glad to see it wasnt just me who thought it looked the likely winner. Thats gambling. I think the way Goldbrook was going, I was on for the forecast at 14/1 & 6/1 also which would have been nice. Looking forward to tomorrow but there is a lot of races but great quality spread over 4 jump meetings.

  8. I know - not another system!! I have not had the time to follow my previous years systems on this thread, but armed with a new PC, i will run this one until the end of the season to see how we go. The bet is always HT/FT - Draw/Fav to win. The teams will be selected from a list dependant on who they play against. i have about 10 teams in mind from around the globe & will be placing between 1 & 10 bets each Saturday. There may be some midweek action if i can post in time. I will keep a record of singles to a 1pt stake & Doubles to a 0.5pt stake. My conclusions are that at this stage of the season teams like Chelsea will win over 90 mins but the likes of Everton & others alike will fight them for certainly the first hour until the class shows through. Thereofre 0-0 or 1-1 could be a very likely score at HT. I would like to keep to the top flights but may have the odd delve in leagues 1 & 2 & Conference if i see an opportunity. Bet 1 tomorrow........;)

  9. Re: Friday - Sandown bit of a nightmare day! Brooklyn Breeze was so unlucky, came to challenge 2 out for the lead & Goldbrook my other fancy, fell in front of it, they were so close together that BB was hampered. Finsihed 3rd but i believe the way it ran today was the day!! Very unlucky! Comebye finished 4th - i didnt see the race but the write up suggests that the step up to 2m 4f was too far. There is no doubt finsihed 3rd after leading to the 2f marker but ran out of steam.

  10. Re: Friday - Sandown in the 3.40 I would take COME BYE to make it 4 on the trot in the same grade as it's last win. Bit of a fontwell specialist 2 wins & a second this season, this horse has had 23 runs & only 3 wins - it's last 3 races! In a rich vein of form worth backing whilst in this company. Will be Fav around 5/2. The 4.50 gives us the sight of THERE IS NO DOUBT in the NH flat race. The form of it's last win has worked out well & this was pulled out of a race earlier this week in favour of this one. STAR DIVER is the interesting debutante from T Doumen stable & must be resepcted with McCoy booked. I see it as a match between these 2 & unless they are good prices (above 5/2) will look at a r/Forecast.

  11. 3.10 Handicap chase. There will be a warm favourite in Jericho III who will be looking for its 5th win on the spin. However the fact is the horse has never ran above class D handicaps winning in classes D-F. BROOKLYN BREEZE captures the eye for me, a winner in 5 out of 9 races, Len Lungo's horse only ran once last season bolting up in a novice chase beating simply supreme by 25l. This season the horse has run 3 times, twice over hurdles finishing 5th & 8th having to give weight away to the impressive Over the creek at Aintree (winner last sat) & Lord Jack at Ayr who also went on to win a better race NTO. Lungo has raced the horse over 2m4f & 3m but it was the last effort at Cheltenham that was eyecatching over 2m 5f in a Grade 3 (A) race, BB started to get amongst the leaders when making an error 3 out after which the horse was eased home. I dont believe the trainer has knocked the horse about for a reason, that he belives the horse is capable of a nice prize. Hence why I think he has brought the horse down all the way from Scotland to land the £15k prize. The distance is 2m only, & will be the shortest distance the horse has ran over since 2003 when he won a hurdle. The price is around 7/1 as there will be a bit of value agianst the favourite. The danger for me is GOLDBROOK who finished 3rd 3l behind Oneway over CD in January. Likely to be double figures in the betting though, would appeal. Verdict : Brooklyn Breeze 5pts win @ EP Goldbrook 1.5pt ew @ SP Reverse forecast the above 2 1pt 10pts staked

  12. Re: Thursday 2.35 Sandown thanks Aykay, has some great form, like the 6l 5th at Cheltenham in december behind therealbandit may be some reasonable bets on the card also with Redi forecast SP7/4 Historic SP2/1 Il Duce SP5/2 Sikander a Azam SP2/1 all look like they'll be thereabouts.

  13. Re: Muss 4.00 - 20/1 shot ran about 8th down the field. Turned out to be a hot race with the impressive Far Pavilions leaving everything in it's wake to win a nice odds. I think the trainer may be trying to get this one the handicap a bit & although finished down the field today has gone into my notebook for future handicap hurdles over 2m.

  14. Re: A bet a day helps you work, rest and play! fair play :clap quality tipping. Difficult race to win but won maybe with a bit in hand also. Will now go to Cheltenham for the County? I posted my own views on the 4.00 race & tipped up Rayshan ew at 20/1, ran reasonably well but perhaps is weighted to the hilt at the moment & trainer is bringing the handicap mark down for later !!

  15. I have noticed J Howard Johnson has RAYSHAN running in the 4.00 at Musselburgh today. The price is 20/1 with Bet365 which for one of his horses makes me take notice. This horse has only ran 3 times over timber & collected on its first start over 2m at this meeting last year. Then finished 2nd at kelso a month later, when odds on at 3/1o in another novice event. Had a few runs during the year on the flat in good company (Class B& C races) but didnt set the world alight! Finished a creditable 7th on 29th dec over C/D giving a fair weight away to those in front of him. Now the major plus factor, in the absence of Graham lee, the trainer looks around & finds Timmy Murphy !!! on a 20/1 shot. I'll be on E/W.

  16. Re: Cheltenham 2005 martin - i dont know too much about Justified, havent studied the race in detail yet but will see what i can find out. Jake - havent got anything else on Harchibald as yet apart from the press release saying they will work it on gallops at leopardstown next week. I wouldnt advise anyone on how to bet & if you are up on the race, you may not be bothered. Laying half of it may give you a free bet on one of the others?

although essex put up a great performance to win off a big weight & is an improving type, whether it can now go on to the champion hurdle is a difficult task. It has now taken two valuable handicap prizes & i dont expect they'll settle for a handicap at Cheltenham? i tend to use this race for the handicap hurdles at Cheltenham & will be interested to see how the 10 horses above take their chances at the festival. They are all on my list now to consider for backing at the meeting dependent on price etc.

Saturdays big chase was the AON chase at Newbury. Could not get enthused by the outcome here with Farmer Jack winning off levels after jumping impressively. Newbury is not Cheltenham & I would expect that Strong Flow would put up a better account in the Gold Cup as this was only it's 2nd prep run of the season & only just got headed over the last by the resurgent farmer jack.
