Re: Guineas my trends show that the 2000 G stat is an RPR of between 118-131 (only Frankel higher in last 12 years). This year only Dawn Approach (123) and Moohajim (118) qualify unless i have missed something?

Re: Queens Park Rangers v Arsenal > Sat 4th May will find it hard to watch this one from the stands however i just hope we give it a go and show our fans much needed commitment but then again we havent all season so why now? Looks a nailed on bet the away win doesnt it, i will simply just be sitting there as have to go, but even if we score i doubt it will get me off my seat :(

Another blank night with 4 bets all losing, the 1st 2 ended up last and did not lead as expected The other 2 ran ok for much of the race but were always held and the winner atwaal did well for the hat trick Will have a review later to see if any horses worth noting for future

is anyone taking this up? I should be there, i think you have to pre order to get tickets, they give you max of 4 I have my tickets now and looks an OK card

Re: Flat Racing 29th April Windsor contd
7.40 race Looks a tricky handicap to sort out, ATWAAL was another that won here on SOFT ground and i dont expect it to follow up on this faster surface. N KING the trainer has a record of 2 wins from 5 here at the track so worth watching him this season if he brings some horses here. REFRACTOR won off 79 on the AW and if they get this into a decent position in the field, this one could be thereabouts off a mark tonight of 74. Has reared up before so i am wondering if its worth an in play bet to see how it comes out. However, BUICK rising a 14/1 chance always interests me! CATHERINE GANNON is another jock who does well here and she rides BROWN PETE whose best turf win was off a mark of 60 so i cant see it being in the frame tonight but will note where it finishes as may win later in the season. DR LIVINGSTONE is a hold up horse and will be doing all its work at the finish especially with Hughes up top, may just not be enough to peg back PALOMAS PRINCE who has won here before and will get a lead at some point on these, did win its race here on soft but does lead and possibly may try to make all. Has won off 75 on AW and Turf now so a rise of 2lb may not peg it back. Favourite backers will be all over COUSIN KHEE a dual purpose horse but again the price puts me off a bit. For me, my bets would bePALOMAS PRINCEand a save again onREFRACTOR -
Re: Flat Racing 29th April Windsor tonight 1st race - no bet on this, Hannon horse looks like it has already won and at odds of 1/5, unbackable 6.10 race, plenty of unraced 2yo's to have a look at. Hannon's horse has plenty of experience already and looks again destined to go close. Looking at the others, VARIAN has a decent strike rate here, in fact better than any other trainer in this race so anything he brings to Windsor must be noted. His win & place strike rate is over 60% so @ around 11/1 ORBISON could well be an interestt o some but is a NO BET race for me again. 6.40 Maiden race and trainer ED DUNLOP has a short favourite in the race. However, DUNLOP has a poor strike rate here only 4.55% and i wouldn't be touching this one even with Hughes on board (who by this time could be looking at a treble). Again, i'm not really interested in this race although if i was pushed, i would have some on STOUTES horse BEDOUIN INVADER 7.10 A handicap at last to look at! DUKE OF CLARENCE will not get the race run to suit tonight with its victory here on soft ground, the ground is drying out after a couple of decent sunny days in these parts. You need to be leading here or in front rank as the leaders dont come back to the field. Those prominent runners are STARWATCH and ISHIKAWA and these 2 could lead the others throughout. Ishikawa trained by Alan King who does ok here when he visits, has never won on turf (0 from 7) but won 5 times on the AW from 16 races, lastly off a mark of 74. Jockey SWEENEY has been in the saddle for all 5 wins and rides tonight. STARWATCH is stepping up in trip and has only won up to a mile. Last win was at Goodwood off OR 84 last june and with the claim tonight, the horse runs off OR79 so certainly capable of winning this off 5lb less. The young jockey Twiston-Davies is also having a decent start to the season so wont be surprised if this one goes close. The ground suits also but i wonder if they may take this one to either Epsom or Goodwood next as it acts on undulating tracks so keep an eye out. My bet in this race would be ISHIKAWA with a saver on STARWATCH. There is no value in the front 2 for me.

Re: Reading v Queens Park Rangers > Sun 28th April
yep very intelligent post, sod off pal, what the hell are you talking about? it was 0-0 the last time i looked and both sides were relegated as a result, some of us actually feel gutted the way the players have performed this seasonI am so happy that QPR are gone. They don't deserve to play even in Italy Serie B with this ****ty defensive display. -
Re: New Year's Resolution Thread Away we go ran well after its poor start but should have been closer, that 2nd last fence knocked the stuffing out of it, i feel it would have given the winner something to do had it pinged the fence.

Re: The Saturday Lucky 15 Thread
reasoning in the jumps thread now for 3 of the above. Fire ship is a selection based on what Buick has said about the horse. I struggle with the flat at this stage of the season but buick seems happy with this ones chances and therefore i added it in to make up the L15. Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday April 27th 1.30 Sandown, PFIT ZIG, i recall this one running at Cheltenham behind Flaxen Flare and was not disgraced by that run. Cheltenham placed horses often go on and win more races so pleased to see Nicholls for this one despite top weight. He hasnt taken off any weight by putting a claimer up so i am confident this one should go close today 2.05 SAndown MINELLA FORFITNESS was impressive last time out at Aintree and loves the quicker ground and a flat track, an increase of 9lb may not be enough to stop him and henderson loves these hcap hurdles at Sandown. Worth keeping an eye on this for next season as i think it will challenge for some major handicaps. 2.40 Sandown SANCTUAIRE won this last season and has had to suffer watching Sprinter Sacre backside all season so should have it all its own way today on a track it rides so well. I would hope they run the others ragged and go for this. Stable companion Toubab may tank along but Sanctuaire will be up there throughout. F Rainbow still has to prove to me it retains the ability we have seen in previous years.

Re: Sources of study
yep form study is one of elements we all have to consider when choosing a selection. Take the sandown card tomorrow, Sanctuaire looks a good thing with its form in this race and behind Sprinter Sacre however, the others have some cracking form also so a difficult race to assess and the Sandown fences will sort out the rags. I would say that 50% of my bets though generally are on the top trainers flat & jumps, it seems to just work out that way these days :)Try reading form Rob, surely you cant just back trainers blind (Hannon at Windsor, Henderson on Saturday etc..) and rely on trends for one race a week. Get yourself back into proper racing:lol -
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends great price 3/1, well done that man :)
-
Re: Flat Racing - Friday 26th April anyone notice that Twiston Davies winner on the flat, Mad Moose, 28/1 had his boy on it, in a maiden been running all season over fences and wins at Donny! They must have been on it, was it backed?
-
Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread ruby 4 winners not too shabby

Re: Godolphin doping scandal
you cant compare the 2 to be honest can you Only 1 horse can finish the race in front so there will always be duckeggs Al Zarooni deserves the ban, no mucking about, the authorities have acted quickly in the name of the sport8 years seems harsh. Love how they give out long bans for this but turn a blind eye to blatent non triers and horses with 8 duck eggs to their name suddenly winning being backed from all prices. -
Re: Sources of study These days mainly just my own trends for certain races which i have filed other races i mainly use Sporting life for past form etc Used to have Raceform on subscription a few years back and also Timeform but possibly was 15 years ago, now the internet is here, no need for all those books! Used to use Adrian massey's site but i think thats closed down now Often check twiston davies website as he normally gives a true account prior to racing of his horses chances.
