  1. Re: 250% Initial Deposit Bonus on CelebPoker I'm liking CD Poker at the moment, even on the very lowest levels they give you points towards your bonus. Ok, 600 points per $5.00 isn't great but I can clear 600+ points a week on .05/.10 multi-tabling - always busy and to me it's free money.

  2. Re: Punters Lounge Poker Site?

The problem is not creating a poker site or a bookmaker for that matter, that's a piece of cake. The problem is it costs thousands of pounds to market that product properly and compete with the other companies. :ok
Very true I'm sure but does anyone remember the good old days where bonuses were achievable to the average/small time rounder and there was good value for money to be had......i'm sure that there exists in the market a space for a more generous Site and I'm of the belief that you could still attract a large number of punters if the site was right. Maybe I'm dead wrong though.
  3. Please forgive me, I'm not bragging but the strangest thing happened to me last night. I played a 6 seat S&G satellite and won the tourny in less than 3 minutes and in just 7 hands. I've seen a lot of "variance" in my time but last night was just freaky. I'll post a history screen shot when I get home tonight.

  4. Their email is enticing me but I'm wary of sites I've not heard of before:

  5. Re: Twice in one day I think, and I know it sounds corny, but you have to be a little brave. SOmetimes in Tournies things will fall for you and you'll have a major stack going into the latter stages...sometimes they won't. You have to steal though, you have to take advantage of the guy's like yourself and by that I mean people just wanting to get past the bubble and who are playing timidly, you really need to use your position too. I've played two this weekend on Virgin, one 2nd place and one limping into the money at 18th and I've quaded my BR there! :)

  6. Re: Anyone fed up of poker. Val I'm sorry about your personal circumstances but can I ask whether you are doing something positive with your winnings at all or do you hoard your bankroll because its the only cash (cos of the CSA) you can truly call your own? If I am to be totally honest Valiant if I lose this BR I can't really justify replacing it and believe me a lot of time and effort has gone into it, that said, I did win a couple of healthy tournies a couple of month ago and withdrew the money and paid most off the credit card bill with it. I think I'm going to have to reassess what I want from Poker, maybe going up the levels isn't the be all and end all and I should be happy that I manage to consistently eke out a profit. Maybe I should start to play the higher level STT's before worrying about higher level cash games....but the problem is.....and this is the real doozzie here....I just love the game but I'm mortally afraid of losing. I proabably sound like a right nutter....:lol

  7. Re: Anyone fed up of poker. Invasor, Same with me mate. I found I had a son out of the blue and that under current regulations they are allowed to take 40% of my wages (7K in arrears) Should hear today or tomorrow if I've got a very well(ish) paid job in the public sector...if I haven't got it then god knows what I'm going to do....I just thank god I have an angel of a girlfriend.

  8. Re: Anyone fed up of poker. Hey Phillosify, Do you know what I think my problem is? bottle. Until I learn not to be afraid of losing my BR then i'm really not going to progess at all. I can only take my hat off and bow to people like "The Mole" as his thread just leaves me agog. Maybe I also have to adhere to the fact that I may not just have the temprement for the more serious cash games. The thing is I know I can play. Another thing I should mention is that my CSA has just gone up to £500.00 a month, this must be having a subconcious effect on my game even though I like to think it's not. Time to put up or shut up I guess.

  9. Re: Anyone fed up of poker. I'm beginning to think I have Psychological problems. I just can't go up a level on NL Cash games. I have this irrational fear of losing even a single cent of the bankroll I've so lovingly nurtured. I can consistently win on my level but my game just disappears when I go up. I'm on the verge of just withdrawing my BR and spending it on something less detrimental to my mental well being.

  10. Re: Reason I always lose in cash

Reason I always lose in cash
For me it's very simple...it's not the amount I raise, it's not my position, it's not my read on the other players....it's due to: Scandenavians.
