  1. Re: Championship - 3rd - 4th August Watford to beat Birmingham 6/4 Most Bookmakers Best away bet of the weekend for me is Watford at 6/4. Watford were superb away from home last season; winning 12 games. Although there have been changes to the squad it’s a fair assumption that they will continue playing the same style of football. Watford look just as good if not better than last year and will almost certainly be challenging for promotion. Bycontrast Birmingham look like a team on the slide. Many players have leftleaving a very average looking team that are more likely to fighting offrelegation than promotion. I can see Watford comfortably picking off theBirmingham defence and this should be a straightforward win so I’m more thanhappy to take the 6/4.

  2. Re: Season Handicap Betting

i liked Norwich at +41 i think they have signed really well and look decent this season.
I agree they were very solid at Home last year and have added two good strikers. They get +44 with Betvic the same as Stoke. I know which one I'd rather put my money on.
  3. Re: Championship 2013/14 > Winner Sheffield Wednesday Top S Yorks club Betvic 11/8 The three South Yorkshire clubs are Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Doncaster. Doncaster did very well to win the league last season on the very last day. However it’s hard to envisage anything other than a struggle for them this season. They simply haven’t got the squad to compete consistently at this level. Despite playing attractive football Barnsley are perennial strugglers in this league; finishing just one place above relegation the last two seasons. Therefore in my opinion Sheffield Wednesday need only be mediocre to win the bet. Last season they had a dreadful 1st half of the season losing 2/3 of their first 21 games. They ended the season much better losing only 6 of their 25 matches. A continuation of that form should see them win the bet. They have a very experienced manager at this level in Dave Jones and I find it highly unlikely that they will be struggling at the bottom unlike the other two.

  4. Re: Even/Odd Football betting system, Could you help please?

Its quite simple you wait until the first 8 games of the season have gone by' date=' then see whether they have been Even or Odd number of goals. so for example, Spurs last season went for their first 8, O E E E O O E E. You then start betting on the Pattern not repeating, so as the weeks progressed you would bet the opposite, [/quote']This is the problem with the system. What's gone before has absolutely no bearing on what will happen next. You can flip a coin nine times and get nine heads. But this has absolutely no bearing on what it will be on the tenth attempt. As you are aware long losing runs will eventually happen and will quickly bankrupt you.
  5. Re: League 2 > Sat 27th April Dag and Red V York Adam Reid first goal scorer 18/1 Bet365 York have been starting games very strongly of late so there is a good chance that they will score the first goal. Midfielder Adam Reid should be high anybody's list of first goal scorer. He has scored 2 from 5 which is as good as anyone else at the club yet he is languishing down at 18/1 in the first goal scorer market. He certainly likes to get forward and has an eye for goal so the 18/1 looks hugely over-priced to me.

  6. Re: England > FA Cup > Nov 30th - Dec 2nd

Harrogate v Hastings Let us start in the FA Cup and what is the least glamorous tie of the round as the two lowest ranked sides in the competition play each other. This does give both sides a massive chance of getting to the 3rd Round however. I was watching Sky Sports News on the day of the draw and they were at Harrogate’s ground as they watched the draw being made. Their reaction to getting Hastings is one of the main reasons I am backing Hastings on Saturday, because they were celebrating like they had already made it into the 3rd Round. This was pretty much the only tie which would mean they were favourites so I can understand them being happy, but if I was from Hastings watching this reaction it would give me extra incentive to win. I also think that it means Harrogate might well go into this game with the wrong mind-set and think they just have to turn up and win. Hasting’s performed really well in the last round when beating Bishop’s Stortford and although Harrogate are a bit better than them I still think it proves Hasting’s have it in them to win this match. 9/2 about an away win is readily available and a price worth taking for me.
Iv'e seen Harrogate a handful of times this season and wouldn't like to oppose them. On their day they can play some real quality football and should be up to winning this match. I don't think you need worry about their motivation. Just because they are happy with the draw doesn't mean they will take the match for granted. Good luck though if youv'e had a bet.
  7. Re: FA Cup > 12th November - 15th November Don't read too much into the 3-0 result at the weekend. York were woeful and the worst I have seen them play for a long time. On their day though they are a decent outfit and well capable of beating Wimbledon. The trouble is that the defence occasionally switch off and make silly mistakes and the forwards miss far too many chances. To me this is a no bet and could go either way. If I was to have a bet I would try a speculative punt on Mclaughlan being first scorer at 22/1 Betvictor. He didn't start at the weekend but will surely play tonight. He is a talent player and knows how to find the net.

  8. Re: Scottish Football > 29 September Scottish cup Dalbeattie star to beat Stirling Albion 9/2 Stanjames BetVictor Hope this is in the right thread as I cant see a Scottish cup forum. Dalbeattie are effectively just one league down from Stirling Albion but in fairness the South of Scotland league is probably the weaker of the three leagues just below Scottish div three. The contrast in current form couldnt be greater though. Stirling Albion having started the league with a good win have lost 5 on the bounce. Dalbeattie on the other hand look a class apart in their league with 7 wins from 7 and a goal differnce of +31. Stirling Albion also have top scorer Scott Davidson out with a ban. Unlike Stirling Albion, Dalbeattie Star's confidence must be high; so 9/2 for a team in tremendous form against a team in poor form looks well worth a punt.

  9. Re: League 1 > 29 September Tranmere to beat Brentford 7/5 Willhill The bookies appear to be still underestimating Tranmere. They are still unbeaten and scoring goals for fun. Last week's 5-2 over a decent Crawley team highlighted that they are no flash in the pan. With a record of 4 out of 4 at home and 12 goals for and one against I would expect them to be odds on unless playing a decent team. Brentford however do not fall into this category. Their home form is decent enough but they havent won away yet. I would have been happy to take evens so 7/5 looks too tempting to resist.

  10. Re: League 2 > September 22 York Cheltenham both teams to score 4/5 Bluesq This bet has come in in every York game this season. York have adapted well to life in league 2 and have little difficulty scoring. Despite strengthening their defence; it seems incapable of keeping a clean sheet. Cheltenham have scored in 6 of their 7 games this season and have conceded 8 in total in their last three games. Goals seem to be on the cards.

  11. Re: League 1 > September 22 Notts County Portsmouth Over 10.5 corners 10/11 Bet365 I don't normally back the corners market but this one looks good. Notts County managed scored 21 in total in their last two home matches so may well be close to going over this line by themselves. They are bound to create a lot of chances against Portsmouth. As Jase82 says Portsmouth will also create chances and will almost certainly notch some corners. In their three away games they have managed 6.4 and 7 corners. So unless the games pans out completely differently to I imagine the 10.5 line should be breached.

  12. Re: US Open 2012

hello guys, my name is joao today i have 2 bets 99 % sure bets if you follow me today you will be happy i have information, long history,.... my bets : cibulkova - vinci : back cibulkova cilic - nishikori : back cilic trust me !!!
No offence but to say Nishikori and Vinci only hava a 1% chance of winning is ludicrous. Perhaps you could elaborate on why you fancy your picks so strongly.
  13. Re: Antepost > Championship > 2012-13 BUY MILLWALL SEASON POINTS 55.5 Millwall are expected to be relegation fodder this season but I dont see it that way. They had a couple of lean periods last season where they couldnt even score let alone win. But when they got it together they were solid at the back and scored regularly. In a fairly wide open league I can see them easily finishing well above the relegation zone.

  14. Re: Antepost > 2012/13 BUY WIGAN SEASON POINTS 38.5 SPORTINGINDEX This looks a cracking bet in my opinion. Wigan only need to repeat last season's performance to show a profit. However that included a dreadfull 1st half of the season. If they play like they did in the second half then they will sail over the 38.5 mark. The only concern is if Martinez leaves. But even if he did I still think the points total would be achievable.

  15. Re: Antepost > 2012/13 Stoke to be relegated 7/1 Betvictor I cant see Stoke doing much this year. Their tactics seem to have been rumbled by the other clubs. They were pretty miserable last season winning only 4 games in the second half of the season. Those games were against Wolves Swansea Blackburn and Norwich. That kind of form wil almost certainly see them scrapping at the bottom. Of the other teams there seems to be no obvious whipping boys. Im struggling to find any teams that are definately worse than Stoke. Two of the teams fancied for relegation should stay up in my opinion. Wigan were fantastic at the end of the season beating Liverpool, Man utd, Newcastle and Arsenal. If they play to anywhere near that standard they will be nowhere near the relegation zone. Promoted teams tend do a lot better than expected and I think Reading have enough about them to escape relegation. The addition of Pogrebnyak will assure that goals are no problem. So that just leaves the likes of Sothampton Norwich and West Ham to contend with. Therefore 7/1 seems a great price to me.

  16. Re: World Championship - April 21st - May 7th 1st Quarter winner Maguire 13/5 Coral On paper this looks a straight fight between higgins and Maguire. I personally believe Maguire should be the favourite. He has been in decent form lately getting to the finals of the China and Welsh opens. I'm not convinced by Higgin's form at the moment whereas i feel Maguire has a big performance in him. In their last 2 meetings Maguire beat higgins 5-0 and 6-4 so he certainly knows how to beat Higgins. 13/5 looks tempting to me.

  17. Re: World Championship - April 21st - May 7th Ding Junhui -4.5 frames to beat Day. 11/10 bet365 coral If he brings his A-game game Ding Junhui should blow Day away. Ding has occasionally throws in a couple of lackluster performances but will surely be up for this one. Day was woeful in the Welsh open and seemed incapable of building any kind of break. If Ding gets off to a good start I can see Day's confidence draining and a comfortable win for Ding.

  18. Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Feb 17-18 York v Stockport Matty Blair Anytime goalscorer 2/1 BetVictor The 2/1 price on Blair being anytime goalscorer is basically wrong. According to the betting he is the 7th most likely scorer. However I feel he is the most likely scorer. He is scoring regularly at the moment and is York's second top scorer with 14 goals.

  19. Re: Tennis: 6th February to 12th February

Tipsarevici vs Prpic I think this will be a one way traffic and Janko with his great Oakley glasses will find the way to end this match quickly enough! First set is something that Janko always offers the best for sitting then comfortable on top of the lead. Expect a quick first set and under 8.5 games is an option that I like. I mean Janko has what it takes to win against this player Prpic which is on 490th spot ATP. 6-8 games in the first set @ 1.85 with bwin
TIPSAREVIC TO WIN FIRST SET 6-0 16/1 WILLHILL Carrying on from the points you made; obviously this is going to be a one sided affair. I think 16/1 for a 6-0 first set offers decent value.
