  1. Re: $5k free-roll bet365 7pm Already signed up for the 30k freeroll tomorrow Dave. Came 3rd or 4th in it a few months ago and won $1800 I think so its well worth sitting on the 5 cents tables for 2 or 3 hours to get your qualification in. Are you in it mate?

  2. Re: Unreal (warning To All!!) Already knew about this Jezza and it stinks big time! Pokergirl1's reputation is crystal clean and he is a well-respected fella on the online circuit. I was chatting with the Laddies Poker Boss a while back about the players on his site and how many people were able to make a living from it. Amongst others, Pokergirl's name came up, and that he was making a substantial amount of dosh each week (though no amounts were disclosed) as he was such a good player. From what I understand, who the hell attempts a chip-dump at a table with 5 people anyway??? It just doesn't make sense. He's been one of the top dogs on Laddies for a few years now and for another site to do this to anyone (not just him) is appalling. There's gotta be some sort of legal stance he can take with it?

  3. Re: Well done alien syndm

Some opportunist (who I'll call Mr Raise Every Hand) had bluffed and fluked his way to chip leader and was completely bullying the table. I flat-called a pair of 7s for him to put a big raise in again. When he did, I decided to go all-in against him as he'd done that on every hand and he needed slowing down. I'd waited a while for the right opportunity. Of course, he called and turned over a pair of 9s. Typical!
Played a $2/$4 cash game last night and who should appear on the table but the same fella above! First hand he went all-in and everyone folded. Second hand I was dealt a pair of 4s. Put a small raise in and everyone called. Flopped a set with A45 on the table and then watched him go all-in after a couple of checks before him. Put him on a pair of As at the most as even this joker wouldn't call a raise with 23. Everyone folded apart from me as I called his all-in. He turned over A3 and I won the $95 he had at the table. Sweet and profitable revenge! :D Also a good lesson in making sure that you keep notes on the players you play against as I had done from the tourney above.
  4. Re: Well done alien syndm Play on there a bit too. Much of a likeness really. Mixture of muppets and decent players. The software tends to give out a few straights too many though imo! Gett1n, can you pin the usernames thread to the top as its a useful reference point?

  5. Re: Well done alien syndm :lol Agree with that Gett1n. I'm only entering these $100 tourneys through the satelites. For the sake of $11, the payout is well worth it. You normally get 200 players with 20th paying $350ish. 1st last night was $10,830! Mainly gonna stick to my usual $15-$30 tourneys.

  6. Re: Well done alien syndm Yeh it's annoying. Just checked and I actually finished in 123rd. This 'player' who was chip leader and then got my decent stack too finished in 94th! Think that says it all Gett1n. I wonder if these muppets ever win????

  7. Re: Well done alien syndm Well done fella. :clap I had another go of the $100 and finished about 100th:( Some opportunist (who I'll call Mr Raise Every Hand) had bluffed and fluked his way to chip leader and was completely bullying the table. I flat-called a pair of 7s for him to put a big raise in again. When he did, I decided to go all-in against him as he'd done that on every hand and he needed slowing down. I'd waited a while for the right opportunity. Of course, he called and turned over a pair of 9s. Typical! I'd played excellent poker up to that point and I'm still not sure if I did the right thing???

  8. Re: Not boasting but..... 'Wayne's Cruise'..............sounds tacky that doesn't it! :lol WFTE - yeh you're right. Never even thought about it being deemed as aftereventing but at the same time, the lads posting about poker are all established and trusted posters. Results can also be checked anyway if anyone has any doubt with the relevant Poker sites. It's a very different situation to tipping footy results. Anyway, if anyone did have a pop at my supposed after-eventing, I'd take it firmly on the chin whilst counting my dosh! :lol

  9. I entered an $11 rebuy satelite tourney on Laddies this afternoon and qualified in 8th place for the $100 rebuy main tourney that started at 8.00pm tonight. Just finished it and won the bloody thing! Have banked a cool $9000 into my account! :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

  10. Re: Poker experience Agree with that Gettin. Look forward to it mate. I vowed at the start of this year to read at least one Poker book to develop my game but still haven't got round to it. Any suggestions anyone? I particularly need to improve my understanding of the odds of hitting particular hands in relation to what's in the pot when deciding to bet. Know the basic ones but haven't a clue when it comes to odds of flushes, straights, etc when up against other hands.

  11. Re: Poker experience I've been playing No Limit Texas Hold'em online for about 3 years but have never played in a real life tourney (one starts at the local casino at 9.00pm every Sunday night and I can never be arsed by then!). Won shedloads of single table tourneys and a number of MTT tourneys. My best performance was finishing 4th in a Bet365 tourney a few months back winning $1800 but I've won $400 - $600 quite a few times in small stake entry tourneys. Name of the game is patience followed by short sharp bursts of aggression!

  12. Re: PL Card Game Finished 82nd I think and won 6 whole pounds! :lol Went all-in after the flop holding top pair of 10s with a decent stash in the pot. Got called by someone slowplaying pocket JJ. Would play it the same way again if it happened so can't complain. Good fun though. Managed to lose a load of chips trying to bluff against someone holding a Full House. :lol It was only his re-raise after the turn that made me fold.
