Well done mate. :clap Really enjoyed the game despite finishing in 4th and one place out of the dosh. :wall I'm quite happy playing on Paradise. Did anyone else apart from suzy have connection problems? If so, we need to consider that for the future. May be worth suzy having a go at one of the cheap cash games for an hour to see if it was a one-off or whether there's a permanent problem there. Sunday's would be ideal for me as I tend to be doing naff all then. Friday's a no-go and Saturday's a bit hit and miss. As for the buy-in, again I reckon keeping it the same to encourage more players is a good idea. If you get a higher staked tourney off the ground though, count me in for that one too. Oh, and gotta say congrats to Jez. You agressive all-in merchant you! :ok

What's that about Jez? I noticed it but was too tight to order anything in case it cost me come money. :rollin Not played on Paradise before today. Quite like the look of it and the way it plays. Especially the little speech bubbles that appear by player's names when they chat. Got a feeling there will be plenty of that on Saturday. I got an fairly quick double-through too before losing most of it on a couple of big pot bad beats. Ya win some................You can even order cigars booze and food for your table -
Re: Betfair 2000gtd tonight Actually thinking about it. Most of the Poker posters on here have reported a decent result or two haven't they. Think we may have a new Hendon Mob forming! Played my first mini-tourney today after my hols, a 4 week break and a read of one of Sklansky's poker books. Slightly refined a certain area of my technique and won it with ease. Nowt like confidence. :ok Nothing as good as those two results though fellas. :clap

There's a bit of a mutiny going on at Laddies at the moment with a fair number of the long established players refusing to play there anymore. It all relates to the extremely high number of bad beats and long-shot high value hands that are appearing. Having witnessed many a lower pair beating a high pair by hitting a flush with 4 suited cards on the board, I do have an amount of sympathy with them. But I can't see what Laddies would get out of tinkering with the software deliberately. They take a rake no matter what gets flopped.

Bluffed a few pots to get to about 2200 and then flopped 2 pair. Needed to double-up at that point and of course, ran into someone who'd flopped a straight (why he was still in the hand anyway god only knows). Still, after my run of success, you can't win 'em all.

For the 2nd week out of 2, I made an educated decision to play on the cash games ($2.50/$5) after midnight on Sat night on Laddies. And for the 2nd week, I have turned £100 ($185) into $1000+. Sod the poker books, wait for the pissed people and take advantage!!! :lol
