This thread is completly for fun. I will probably back the selections but only to small stakes. Im going to attempt to pick a few scores and scorers and combine them in scorecasts and see how well I can do. It will mostly be live games and games that I expect could involve a few goals as these usually provide better prices. Scorecasts arent a bet Id usually touch but its a bit of fun and wouldnt advice anyone to follow these bets but feel free if you choose. Bank will be 100pts and each bet will be 0.5pts.

Re: aliando's laying football lines Just a query. Are you aware you can lay multis on Betfair now?? Not all games are avaiable yet but most of the high profile ones are.

Re: Todays incredible bet You sure this is in the right forum??

Re: ARB AVAILABLE - GERMANY vs DENMARK An arb is a situation when you can place two bets at the same time to produce a guareenteed profit. In this case it was backing at one price and laying at a lower one. Another example wuld be a close tennis/snooker game where one bookie may offer 5/4 on one player and another views it differently and offers 5/4 on the other player.
-
Re: ARB AVAILABLE - GERMANY vs DENMARK Well done to anyone that either got on the arb or backed Denmark due to Ladbrokes obviously panicing about their odds.

Re: Giant football acca, help required!!! Try reading the threads for each league which are set up for reasonings behing the games.

Re: ARB AVAILABLE - GERMANY vs DENMARK Right. Just been on the phone to work and can confirm that in-shop they are still taking upto £50 @ 5/1, anything over has to be taken @ 3/1.

Re: ARB AVAILABLE - GERMANY vs DENMARK
Thats right. Sorry didnt make that clear. I asssumed theyd slashed it online but kept the limit in shops. This was the case at time ofposting anyway.Think they are still laying £50 at 5s in the shops, just not online. -
Ladbrokes have put a limit on their 5/1 available about Denmark to win. They will only accept £50 @ 5/1. Denmark are currently availabe to lay on Betfair @ 5.0 £50 @ 5/1 and laying £60 @ 5.0 will give you a £10 profit before commission. OK, its only a tenner but its free money.

Re: How do ya like your 8 grand Placepot. Only went down in one leg.:sad Punter in one of our local shops got it up for £1.20.

Re: Percentages and horses
This always makes me laugh at work. Punters see the price go from 25/1 to 20/1 to 16/1 and then come up asking to take the price and that there backing it because its gone from 25/1 to 16/1. Well done, so you're backing it now that all the value's gone?? Smart idea.agree about Horse Racing to a certain extent, tipsters from the big daily's choose their horses before the betting is even formed on the day before, they have to so they can be printed in the press on time, their picks arent based on value, it cant be. Then the market is formed and lots of times its down to public demand whether a price goes in or out, but the starting point is usually terrible value on most horses, the bookies will always open up the prices on the short side, and once again the public will follow the flow in some cases nomatter what price they get. Pricewise horses in the Racing Post are ok if you get the 'big' price advertised but half the time this price will be long gone by the time you come to put the bet on, all the value has gone but punters will still continue to back it. It always amazed me. -
Re: Cheltenham Special Bets Ive been eyeing upthe over distances bet myself for the last week. Like you said, only takes one 20 length victory. Also , if the ground doesnt dry out Id imagine that should help also.

Re: Massey's Return Ive decided to stop continuing with this thread. Both systems have proved that despite getting good runs occassionally neither are strong enough to create a profit in their basic form. If Zulu wishes to carry it on then feel free.
