A Super Six’ of the players I consider the best value ahead of this weekends games in the championship. Prices were correct as of about 15 minutes ago.
2pts Lewis Travis (Blackburn) @ 11/4 SkyBet
Lewis has played the full 90 in both league games so far, picking up 1 yellow card in the process. Last season he averaged 0.59 cards per 90. His combative style always marks him as a good sort for a card bet.
1pt Jordan Thompson (Stoke) @ 3/1 Betfair
Jordan landed in last week for us, making it two cards in two league games from 164 minutes. At 3/1 he is the same price as last week if I remember correctly and so we will go in again. Possibly the biggest threat to this is whether he will start after last weeks poor result.
1pt Moussa Sissoko (Watford) @ 9/2 SkyBet
Another returnee from last week, who in truth didn’t come close to a booking, but at the price I think he’s worth persevering with for the time being.
1pt Giorgi Chakvetadze (Watford) @ 9/2 SkyBet
The fiery Georgian is playing a more advanced role this term which may negate his threat int his market, but I’m happy to take a chance on someone who averaged 0.39 per 90 last season.
1pt Makhtar Gueye (Blackburn) @ 11/2 365
Another familiar face from last week, no cards last week but 3 fouls notched in 64 minutes. Worth another go.
1pt Jordan Clark (Luton) @ 7/1 365
Very surprised at this price for Clark, who was booked last week and racked up 5 fouls in the process. He average 0.28 per 90 last season, not the highest but 1 every 4 full games. I think 7/1 so 12.5% chance is a good price. Again, I’m not sure if he will start is the main issue.
I would void/cash out any bets on players who do not start.
