Cool Iceman....you start the thread and ill see you in there! , they named the AB's team for the tour yesterday....looks a pretty solid outfit , carrying two injurires, but they are suspected to come right by the first test so i hear.
  2. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup

Basically I see the #9's cancelling each other out. along with home advantage & gut feeling I really want to back Waikato & will. LAST TIME - Air NZ Cup: (Hamilton) September 23 - Waikato 37-21 Wellington.

  3. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations Great Game, and great comments guys :ok ...yeah would have been great to see the kiwis win, but i have to take my hat off to those %$#@ aussies!...they know how to win ...well done to them and a great comeback :notworthy I lost the kiwi win bet :wall , but my +20.5 bet came in nicely and i came away with a nice profit :ok ...so very happy about that:loon ok, i look forward to sharing thoughts with you all on the next match! Cheers!

  4. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations

Cheers miguel_hamburglar :ok , some invaluable knowledge regarding the Telstra Dome & weather conditions. Note: if you fancy the Kiwis on the handicap you can get them +20pts at a lot of books over here (betdirect, tote, bluesquare, skybet, paddypower & expekt) :ok
Cheers for that Rugbylad and Miguel :ok , great stuff.....checked out your blogspot Rugbylad....looks good with some great picks...i will follow it from now on with interest, all the best mate!!.....i'm on the kiwis +20.5 for 8/10 and a straight kiwi win 2/10 at $9 on betfair (trying to get back some loss from last week :hope) . Coach Brian (bluey) has been saying all week in the press the kiwis will continue to get better as the tri-nations goes on, expect better things from them each week....just like last time with an aim to making the final.
  5. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations

Need the thoughts of the guys from down under regarding the game in Melbourne on Saturday. Are any books doing a total points market? :unsure
You can get Under 48.5 $1.71 on betfair RugbyLad :ok , hope that helps Haven't heard any news that the result will be any diff. from last week...although you can never count this kiwi team out.
  6. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup

I think Waikato will pip Otago.....;)
Another great call there iceman :ok ...shame i was backing otago :wall So whats your thoughts on the big final this weekend....i think welly's momentum with take them through to the win. They just seem to really want this one, been reading alot of team comments and the guys are really hungrey for the win after been slammed by the media so much about form throughout this season and past ones.
  7. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations

Well put Miguel' date=' i see the points start is out and NZ are 10.5+ for $1.90 on sportingbet.com.au , thats pretty nice i reckon and i am going on it 10/10. and a 5/10 for the win at $3.75. Its a cold wind here at the moment ,the aussies got hailed on at their training!...lol...so yeah they might not like it as much as the kiwi's. Its sunny here but a cold wind blowing, i'll try and update nearer the time.yeah if the aussies play quick and get away early its going to be a 50 pointer, but if the kiwis can hang onto the ball and let stacey guide the speed, we will win it. He is the joey johns of kiwi league[/quote'] Well that sucked , the kiwi's scored first and looked like doing the business :loon, but then they were to busy trying to put big hits on willy mason instead of winning the game! :$...Stacey Jones did a no show on the field, poor effort i thought , they could have won it but let it slip through there fingers.should have just flushed the money down the bog!....lol:wall
  8. Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations

I agree a whole lot here Mike, I don't see the Aussies as being that much better as the odds may suggest, the Kiwis look to have a more balanced side and a stronger set of forwards. I am a bit undecided as yet to where my $$$ are going to go here, if the Aussies can dominate early it could be another 50-12 but if the Kiwis can dictate the pace and slow the game down I think they will negate the play of players such as Gasnier and King. Any idea what the weather will be like on the night Mike? It's been such a dry season over here and I doubt the Aussies would cope if there was any rain/dew on the pitch, the Aussies also maight have a bit of conflict with the Storm boys out wide always looking to play the ball very quick and run hard while the centres Gasnier and Hodges tend to play at a slower pace and really focus of strength when moving forward. I'm going to give it some more thought and see if the +points line moves at all in the lead up to the kick off on Saturday night, but there might be some value in a very big and strong Kiwi team coming up against some Aussies who may still have some injury concerns from the regular season.

And some recent history to mull over: Test Match, 05-May-2006 at Suncorp Stadium : Australia vs New Zealand 50 - 12 Tri-Nations, 26-Nov-2005 at Elland Road Leeds : Australia vs New Zealand 0 - 24 Tri-Nations, 21-Oct-2005 at Ericsson Stadium : New Zealand vs Australia 26 - 28 Tri-Nations, 15-Oct-2005 at Telstra Stadium : Australia vs New Zealand 28 - 38 Test Match, 22-Apr-2005 at Suncorp Stadium : Australia vs New Zealand 32 - 16
Hey Miguel Note Stacey Jones was missing from that last test and he can really make this team work, the kiwis are at home here remember to, always a big one for them when playing at home....i have a feeling the kiwis could get the win here if they can defend well. They are all fresh and i am def. keen on the kiwi with a 10+ point headstart. Just awaiting the release of the odds for the points start....your thoughts ??...or anyone elses ;)

    Date GameVenueTime(NZ)Result

    14 OctWaikato v OtagoHamilton7:35 pm0-0
Teams for the weekend Wellington: Shannon Paku, Ma'a Nonu, Conrad Smith, Tana Umaga (captain), Cory Jane, Jimmy Gopperth, Piri Weepu, Rodney So'oialo, Ben Herring, Jerry Collins, Luke Andrews, Ross Filipo, Neemia Tialata, Mahonri Schwalger, Joe McDonnell. Reserves: Luke Mahoney, John Schwalger, Jeremy Thrush, Chris Masoe, Alby Mathewson, Miah Nikora, Lome Fa'atau. Auckland: Brent Ward, Isa Nacewa, Ben Atiga, Sam Tuitupou (captain), Joe Rokocoko, Tasesa Lavea, Steve Devine/Taniela Moa, Jermoe Kaino, Daniel Braid, Andrew Blowers, Kurtis Haui, Brad Mika, John Afoa, Keven Mealamu, Saimone Taumoepeau. I must say Wellington is looking strong...its teh same team that won over Cant. last week.....thoughts everyone ?....note no Doug Howlett for Auckland either...
  11. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup I agree with the Canturbury call guys. Remembering that Can. would have won last time if it wasn't a last minute crash over try by Ma'nonu. So hardly a convincing win for Welly. I'm backing Can. 8/10 at $1.60 (NZ tab) and am also tempted by the -3.5 at $1.90 ....I'm hoping Macaw will starve the Welly backs of ball and thus keep the likes of Ma' out of the game, i believe he is on the wing for this game ?

  12. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup

thanks gussy............Wellington 21- Otago 14 final score :ok it was f##kin easy money:nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana I also think Canterbury will beat Auckland but would like to have them points in but once again centrebet don't offer that.:unsure
Well Done once again Iceman :notworthy ...i am going to have to go with some of your picks soon if you keep up this good work!...i'm on a canturbury win as well, the master that is dan carter will open up auckland, canturbury will also be out for revenge after losing the RS last week to north harbour. 7/10 stakes
  13. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup nice picks Iceman , i had a 9 pick parley go down the toilet with that canturbury loss! :wall , the rest were all good, out of all the teams i would have picked them to be the certain winner....so frustrating!. ah well , onto next week!....looking forward to reading your picks...:notworthy Mike

  14. Re: Rugby AIr NZ cup Whats everyones thoughts on this weekends games ?? southland was an easy pick for last night , i made some easy cash off that one. this is my pick for the weekend Canterbury v North Harbour Strong North Harbour side but they have never won the RS in 20 years. Say no more. They will push canterbury though Prediction: Canterbury to win by 12 or less 5/10 Canterbury to win 9/10
