Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series Heres some of those showers now in wellington , but that should be ok, the forcast for tomm. is light winds, cloud clearing and fine weather for the day, which is hopefully enough for NZ to get wiped out. Clouds and showers return for the last day of play should it still be going. (hopefully not though)

Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series
This is the latest up date for Wellington as of today Kev "A few showers spreading north today, then clearing tomorrow and becoming mostly fine. " I think that leaves plently of opportunity for the SL's to bowl us out and for me to cash in! (hopefully :hope). if not the draw will give me a small win. So hopefully the rain stays away.Would be nice to see the kiwi's win, but it will take a big effort for them to notch up the 500+ needed, let alone just trying to keep the wickets intacted till the end. To much for them i think. You agree Kev ??No probs mate. Have you any idea of the weather in Wellington for the next 2 days Mike? -
Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series
It's still a runner mate. Just a nice stroke of luck. Without wishing ill on anyone' date=' I could do with a similar fate falling Vettori's way![/quote'] Cheers for that Kev, i'm a happy man :ok -

Re: Henieken Cup Betting Thread...
Once again superb work there DAC !:ok .....your a legend mate. Thanks ;)Bristol v Bayonne Friday 14 Dec - KO 7.30 Here’s a gimme. If Bristol don’t beat the –37 points Cap against Bayonne then I’ll go to the foot of our stairs. Bayonnne have lost in Bucharest and got humped against the Dragons by 50 points. I was at the Dragons game and they literally got into our 22 once during the entire game…they were truly dire and that was against our Academy side. Granted Bristol may rest a few players but in order to beat the Dragons to the top of the group they need a bonus point to keep pace. They will get the BP easily and will want to repay a loyal and numerous crowd at the Memorial with a high scoring display. Just a quick note from Hill after the Bayonne game last week: “At Bayonne we had gale force winds and driving rain – the referee had to keep stopping the match because the advertising hoardings were being blown onto the pitch – and, as we were playing into the wind in the first half, we simply could not kick the ball. “That meant keeping the ball in hand and our ball retention and phase play was excellent, resulting in us scoring three very good tries and that was effectively the job done by half-time before we had the gale on our backs. Now we are focusing on the return leg.†Bayonne are basically using the same 22 as last week – honestly folks – a gimme. In fact it could get embarrassing for the French Recommendation: Bristol –37 @ Skybet* -
Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series
Does this void the bet meatman ??.....or is it still on ??...Oram is injured :nana :nana :nana :nana he wont bowl in this innings anymore and i doubt he will in the 2nd either. The only worry now is if he gets some runs, which I really can't see. good news is this Sangakarra has played a class innings and Silva a lovely knock, although slightly charmed. -
Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series
Chin up lads, that only puts him on 20 pts, hes a long way off it yet, we just have to hope that he dosen't get a crack at the tail enders when they come round. It ain't over till the fat lady sings!Neither of us wanted that Oram wicket :sad . -
Re: Cricket: NZ vs Sri Lanka Test Series
I really like the look of this one Meatman ,im on it as well, all the best with that mate! :hope You to Kev, good to see you winning on regular occasion! keep it up :okI watched quite a lot of the 1st test, so I though I might have a dabble in a couple of performance bets, which I am particularly fond of :tongue2 Jacob Oram under 110 @ 1.83 Bet365 10 pts Jacob Oram didn’t impress me too much in the 1st test and I am willing to take him on again here. With the bat, he looked dodgy against both pace and spin, especially the spin of Murali. Theres no doubt again that he will have to negotiate the dangerous spinner in this match on a regular basis. I just cant see him getting a big score in either innings so he will rely more on his bowling and fielding for points. He can bowl quite well, and showed signs in Christchurch, but I doubt whether he can pick up more than 2-3 in the match. A line of 110 is just to big IMO and I cant see him covering it. Unless he really raises his game, especially batting, then this bet should be a winner. -
Re: Cricket: Pakistan v West Indies ODI Series
Wow, great call on the game there PP :ok , excellent result!Tip Detail Sport Cricket Event Pak v WI 4th ODI Selection WI Strength 10/10 Date 13/12/2006 Bookmaker/Price Skybet @ 2.25 (Back) Reasoning Wednesday 13 December 2006 - 05:30 The 5 match series moves on to Multan with the hosts 2-0 up so far. Game 4 of the series and the Windies need to win this to keep the series alive for the final tie in Karachi. Pakistan have serious doubt over skipper Inzamam (Razzaq will take over) and Mohammad Yousef & Younis Kham will also be missing for personal reasons. Inzy may well play seeing that Multan is his home stadium and he has stated he won't make a final decision until the morning of the game. The first two games have been low scoring with the West Indies losing big wickets early. Gayle 4 ball duck in the 2nd ODI and Lara Golden duck in the 3rd ODI. So I believe if they can get themselves off to some sort of start then they can put a serious score on the board. Afridi and Iqbal have been called up as cover for the middle order both with points to prove. ;) -

Glasgow v Narbonne A shoe in at Glasgow –8 at Skybet. -
Re: All Blacks European Tour
Glad to hear you won back the losses mate :ok....is there an A league thread around here?, i could be keen to get in on that and swap some tips. Are you pretty good with the A league ??.. Yeah dam frogs kicking for goal, no one does that when you can win from it , you go for a try!....i went big on the 12.5+ , but didn't regain the losses....buggar!....as well, hopefully i can have a better week next week.I managed to win back my loses on the A League anyhow :loon so overall it meant nothing.......I finished out on top for the weekend which is a trend that I have had for some time now:D oh well I can make some $$$$$$$$ next week when the AB's play the welsh gits:loon -

I hope you didn't bet you whole acocunt on this one Ice....we bombed out brother....gutted!....:unsurebacking the following bets: AB's -16.5 pts @$1.85 with centrebet (big stakes) :hope -
Re: All Blacks European Tour
I'm taking NZ to win by over 12.5 @ $1.7 on betfair 10/10....France will be stronger for sure' date=' French pride sounds like its on the line from what i have been reading , but still i expect them to limit the loss to maybe 25 points , no chance of winning....all the best ice buddy!!! :hope:hope:hope[/quote'] AB's win 23 - 11 I can't believe i missed this bet by .5 of a point !!!!!....arse!! :@...DAM FROGS!!....ah well...i thinik i might stick to the horses!...lol.... -
Re: Wallabies European Tour
Cheers brother!!....yeah, he is out, but im hoping that potent aussie backline will fire whenever they get the ball....theres a good line up there and they are bound to pull one out on this tour sooner or later and i'm hoping this will be it.good luck mike:hope I think the aussies are god value for the win but cannon is out fo rthe match with a neck injury:D -

Re: Wallabies European Tour Ireland A (17) v Australia A (24) the wobblies take this one, a sign of the game to come maybe ??.....i have a sneaking feeling Aussie could steal this one and at $2.60 on betfair at the mo , i'm going to have a small go of 4 pts on the aussies....they will proberly turn around and screw me again by losing....but i just won huge on the horses :tongue2 ..so i can afford to take a small loss and have a go at backing them for this one. cmon you stinking aussies!:hope

Re: Cricket: Pakistan vs West Indies Test Series
I always enjoy reading your reviews and picks Kev,they are great to follow and you are normally always in the winning seat , well done and although its only 4 ppts profit, its still profit mate!...well done :ok :clapPakistan win with a fair bit to spare. Annoyingly though Malik got out 4 runs before his performance was in :wall and Bravo was overtaken by the no9 and came 4th by 2 runs :@ . Still after all that I come away with a 4pt profit :ok -
Re: All Blacks European Tour
Woah, big balls there brother...you must have made quite a tidy profit though...i was pretty sure the AB's would do the business...but to bet my whole account....not for me brother, the french have screwed me before. although i might be tempted to go big on the AB vs wales match if the bookies put to much faith in this wales side, sure they are good and have drawn with the wobblies, but that means little against this AB side.....will see whats on offer at the time. Next up AB's vs the french again in France, will be interesting to see what the bookies offer for this one. Theres rumours that the AB's will not field there strongest 15 so Steve Hansen has been quoted as saying...but we will see...Cheers Mike.....I put my nuts on the line & bet my whole account on the match....worked out well in the end:nana -
Re: All Blacks European Tour
Nice one Ice :ok , good to see the brother making some money!....totally agree with you on the call about the AB's still having more to show, alot of people are saying that they have peaked to soon before the RWC, no way, they have still got room to improve and will do so with Mr Henry in charge!...... I still think they can go up a few gears leading into the world cup I just like making money from backing them...alot of people had there doubts about them beating the french & they beat them with ease -
Re: All Blacks European Tour
I'm on the AB's to beat wales for sure, if wales can only draw against a weak aussie side, they don't stand a chance against the AB's....sure they beat the Pac. Island team, but this AB side could put 90 points on that Pac. Island team....in my opinion of course ;) ...Awesome performance by all accounts from the AB's. Getting a little worried now about their trip to Cardiff. -
Re: All Blacks European Tour Well i have to eat my shorts , Leon MacD has a great game , especially under the high ball.....i had a small wager on the AB's to win, wish i had gone bigger , but ah well, profit is still all good :ok....will see how things look for the test in Paris.

Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations
I think this is a do or die test for NZ' date=' we must win and win by 15 points or more from what i have heard to make the final , can anyone confirm that ??....that being the case NZ will be throwing everything into this. Another 24 - 0 thrashing of GB just like we did aussie in the final ??...so hard to pick with NZ, to much inconsistant play from them.[/quote'] Well i can't claim this as a prediction i guess, but i think it was a good hunch! :tongue2 -
Re: Rugby League: Tri Nations
thats true Ice but remember , NZ embarassed aussie in the final last time 24-0 , i think aussie are so up themselves that they would want to beat GB to get NZ into the final so that they can have a crack at thrashing them, you should know aussie ice , they can't stand to lose and to lose 2 in a row (ie let GB through to the final) is not an option for them. just my thoughts;)I think the Aussies will let GB beat em next week as they would be the easier opponent in the finals
