  1. Re: My Pick to win the 2012 World Series

Just some thoughts on teams to look at Pirates +10000 - gave it some serious thought but figured that it was unlikely Phillies +500 - odds too short for me. With Papelbon they have made sure that there pitching is just about perfect from front to back. I am wary of the offense. They go through these streaks where they just cant get it together. I always envision the Phillies being bounced out of the playoffs with a Ryan Howard strikeout Tigers +1000 - An intriguing team. Prince Fielder will obviously add something and the division is only going backwards. The thing about this team is they should make the playoffs n/p unless they have injuries all year. Just too much hype for me to be on board with them Yankee's +650 - odds also a little too short for me but this team is stacked this year with pitching. Unlike previous years the rotation looks really good with the Pineda and Kuroda additions. Red Sox +1000 - I really dont see there problems changing from last year. They should be good, but they will have to battle the Yankee's all year. I believe the Yankees are superior and will win the division. So one wrong step in that wild card playoff game and they are done. My Pick - Reds +2500 - This is really long shot and I am well aware of it but I think this pick has something going for it. First of all you have to consider that the NL Central will be pretty bad this year. The Cubs and Pirates may improve but will still be below .500 teams. The Cardinals will be a winning team, but I t hink losing Pujols and La Russa will be a big hit to them. The Brewers are in just about the same boat as the Cards. Who knows how Braun will play. They added Latos this winter and I think that will be a huge help. They are pretty much a complete team in a not so tough division with only a few good teams in the national league.
I will say I fInd it incredible that you have posted a preview that includes the red sox and excludes tampa bay and texas, the angels too come to that!!!
  2. I cannot understand why they will only take singles A randy orton cody rhodeas and rock treble looks like buying money to me Anyone who thinks the rock signed up to lose thos match wants their head read. Cena has no issues putting the rock over even if he doesnt need it. The womens tag will be won by the team with the celebrity in it. Team johnny will also win as will undertaker but both are no price. The only match that i cannot call with any certainty is punk v jericho but would lean towards jericho at odds against as its rumoured that wwe creative are not sold on punk leading the company brand Have backed the rock 11/10 and cody rhodes 6/5 with relative confidence level stakes and will show a small profit so long as one wins Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

  3. This is possibly the most idiotic topic i have read ob this forum. The answer above is correct. Would you be asking the same question had you have placed a grand and noticed it was rung up as a tenner?. Happens multiple times daily in my shop and if you walked in mine and asked that i am unsure if i would be able to contain my laughter until you left the premises Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

  4. Re: Fri: 2.40 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle

2.40 Cheltenham - 2pts win Brindisi Breeze @ 10/1 (Hills) The winners of this race tend to have run at Cheltenham before, and have already run over 3 miles in their hurdling career. Lucinda Russell's animal hasn't done the former, but has proved his stamina in no uncertain terms. His victories have led to people query whether he needs deep ground, but I'll take a chance that he doesn't, as he's been very impressive when wiping the floor with some smart animals. The favourite of this does have a nice profile, but he's yet to race this far - despite shaping like a stayer. I think Brindisi Breeze will be hard to peg back, even if he's unlikely to get a soft lead, as he's a strong stayer with plenty of class. His last run at Haydock was very good. He won by an eased-down 12l from some very good novices. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were all previously unbeaten over obstacles, and the 5th franked the form in no uncertain terms next time. I think he's a bit overpriced purely for the stable he represents, because you can't fault what he's done so far over hurdles. He will get home okay as long as he doesn't go crazy, and looks sure to run pretty well. He may prefer softer conditions, but I can't see it being the be all and end all.
    nice one :clap
