    @aldric hiya mate! 

    Lads at work have had their heads in the bookies apps for the past month or so, whilst I've not really touched anything for ages.

    Anyway, thought I'd try and trace my tracks on here... And after the obligatory "forgot your password" routine, here I am, reading through pages of drivel about weird and wonderful staking strategies from 14 years ago!

    Not sure I'll become fully active again, but it has got the old cogs going again, and thinking how the old GH missions could be reignited.

    5 STAGES OF MADNESS 2012 [TENNIS EDITION]

    Remember The 8 Stages of Madness (2008)? Remember The 5 Stages of Madness (2011)? Well... IT'S BACK! If it's from before your time, then here's a quick reminder of the key points:

    • Starting bank of £50
    • This is split into 25 bets at £2 stake on a pick with odds of at least 2.00
    • There are 5 rounds of bets;
    • 1st Stage - £2 bets
    • 2nd Stage - £4 bets (number of bets decided from winnings of previous round)
    • 3rd Stage - £8 bets (number of bets decided from winnings of previous round)
    • 4th Stage - £16 (number of bets decided from winnings of previous round)
    • 5th Stage - £32 (number of bets decided from winnings of previous round)
    • Any remaining winners from Stage 5 results in a profit, job done.
    • All bets will be made using Bet365
    • All bets will be on tennis matches only
    • Picks are selected from secret formula (not necessarily a winning one!) which will not be disclosed (hence being in the GH forum)

    So, 25 bets at £2 to follow in the coming days. Cheers guys :ok MT

    Re: Madness|Madness (Repeat) The Story So Far... Twice now have I doubled to £20, before one of banks failing with a matter of bets remaining until the final goal of £40. The bank currently stands at £20.03, and is a profit of 100% on the initial outlay. I have decided I will now bank £10.00 for now, and will effectively 'start again' with the remaining £10.03 in the same way as I have so far in the hope of doubling-up again to £20. *** BANK 1 Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United Over 0.5 Goals @ 1.08 £10.03 (to win £0.76) :hope

With Bank 1 having failed earlier today, this should mean another split into 2 further £10 banks. However, I am currently in two minds as to what to do from here. My options are thus;

    • To carry on as normal and split into 2 banks of £10 in another attempt to make the £40 target (another ~14 bets)
    • To carry on with the £20 as a singular bank in an attempt to reach a £30 target (another ~6 bets)
    • Take the £20 and try something else, with the knowing that I've doubled my initial tenner (a new GH or two!)

    Now that I've said this, maybe I have jinxed the Mexican result already and the above would've been a waste of virtual ink!

Ankaragucu are relegated and have nothing to play for, and have a skeleton squad remaining. Eskisehirspor on the other hand, are still in with a chance of a Top-4 finish and a win here today would be extected of them I would imagine. :hope
