With the ever changing landscape of the bookmaking industry it it becoming very confusing to some on which bookmakers we can use and which bookmakers allow BOG, and from which time it is allowed.
We have decided to narrow the choice of bookmakers and to allow BOG with all selections posted in the competition regardless of time. This will make it much easier for both players and me when settling the bets.
From September 1st 2022 the rules regarding bookmakers we use will be as follows;
The only bookmakers allowed in the competition are;
Bet365 Paddy Power/Betfair (same prices) Betvictor William Hill Betfred Boylesport Ladbrokes Coral Any selections posted with any other bookmaker will be settled at SP

*Just a note about the rules regarding the editing of bets.
One player this week selected a double in which one of the games was a 3pm KO, at 3.12pm he decided it was ok to edit his post and change his other selection. As a result I voided his bet, before any of the later matches were decided.
It is clear in the rules that all bets must be placed prior to the deadline, it was pointed out to me that it doesn't cover the editing of bets, (this was because the TC Forum used to have editing turned off). The rules has now been updated although why you would think it was ok to change a bet once it had started is beyond me.
Its quite a basic competition, you pick your teams, you post them with the odds before the deadline and wait for the results. If anyone fails to understand that concept then it may be best if they didn't play.

Anyway on the positive side we had a couple of cracking bets posted this week from Redno and Spajermuffin both 20/1 + Trebles

Weloof was once sold for €250k. He is now rated 2 pounds below his last course and distance success so must have a chance against a field boasting very few winners.

Top Secret 1.00 Lingfield (E.Way 10/1 BetVictor)
Top Secret made a promising debut finishing fourth behind experienced rivals. As a £100k yearling more is expected.

Clyne 2.10 Chepstow (E.Way 8/1 Bet365)
Clyne was rated 152 when finishing second to Uknowwhatimeanharry in the grade 2 long distance hurdle at the end of 2018, which represents good form. Two runs this season over shorter distances has seen his rating drop down to 143, making him well handicapped. Of his six wins, three have been on heavy ground and three on soft so ground conditions will suit. All in all very positive.

A winner at this course all be it over 1f shorter. Only two pounds higher. He has shown more than most.

Sea Sovereign 7.25 Wolverhampton (E.Way 20/1 PaddyPower)
A half a million pound yearling, Sea Sovereign sired by Sea the Stars has been a major disappointment, but so have most of these. He has only once ran in a class six race so I am expecting better things from him.
