My comment was not so much to do with winning and losing it was more about thought processes and the fact you felt it necessary to bracket that it was a (disgusting price), which it was  BTW, I prefer the "wrong price" myself. and then backed it anyway. I am quite interested in the different psychologies of winning punters and losing punters.

Ok.  When I was working through the races the price of We're United was available at 100/30 (23%) but when I went to place the bet it had shortened to 2/1 (33%).  As you know I place my L15 bets with Betfred.  If the race is not an "extra place" special then if the SP is more than my price then Betfred will pay out at that price. This race was not an extra place special so I was hoping that the 10% shrinkage would lengthen as it was a competitive race.  The price finished at 11/4 and unfortunately, the beast could only manage 3rd.  I hope that this helps you understand my thoughts from a loser's perspective
