Yarm 15:25 - Rough Rock 1pt lay Softening ground won't help his chances, steps upto 7 furlong which is a distance he is yet to win at and this field looks compeitive enough to stop the selection winning.

Re: LOTD 11th August MAANY 2.20 Yarmouth. Place Lay. Showed little on debut last year and hasn't been seen since. Cost plenty and so should be capable of much better, but obviously had problems and couldn't be backed with any confidence today. Could show plenty and win well, but up against several unexposed types who are expected to turn out useful, I'd rather be a layer much more than a player, irrespective of the end result. Will hopefully stay short in price, but I get the feeling the price will drift. Currently 2/5 in the place market, which is my lay price.
