Rome Masters this week...........:ok....and some WTA tennis. Qualifiers started already and a few main draw matches later today.

Re: Tennis: 26th April - 2 May I think Golubev might be worth a small play today versus Leo Mayer. Golubev to beat L.Mayer @ 6/4 (Paddy Power : 3/10) Price seems like good value to me in what should be a close match. Clay is neithers strongest surface but Golubev has played quite a few matches on dirt this year and is doing pretty well. Mayer came through a lower-ranked Italian in first round of qualifiers(Aldi 6-4 6-3) and Golubev also(Fabbiano 6-4 6-3)....hard to gauge much from that. Mayer's first clay match since losing to Haas in 5 at last year's French Open.....also first match since losing to Fish in Miami over a month ago.In the last month Golubev has reached the semi's in Napoli Challenger on clay(beating Volandri and Andujar), beat Koellerer in Casablanca and Gil, Clement and Chardy in Monte Carlo. Losses to Ferrer and Gasquet. Watched him against Chardy and Ferrer and he did quite well.....playing fairly solid stuff. Mayer has a bigger game but think he's worth opposing today without many matches recently. Small stakes as it's a qualifier. GL!
