Aintree 8th March

Recommended Posts

2.00 WOLF MOON 100/1 E/W BOG BETFRED A lot on his plate here but a with only eight going to post has a place squeak. A blip lto but was progressive before that has had only seven runs over hurdles likely to be plenty more improvement to come . Pilot gets on well with the horse.

Re: Aintree 8th March (jumps) Unfortunately work is ruling my life at mo so havnt much time to even scan jump cards so these are just my thoughts on the races from most of the runners ive watched on saturdays etc. 2.00 Aintree Wolf moon is out of depth on rating an ran awfully last time out but he does have the profile that could improve more to have a shout at this level at some point, Tidal Bay disappointed at cheltenham few weeks back but previously impressive on trials day but often runs a good race at Aintree but all that said Big Bucks will be hard to beat! Big Bucks win BB/Tidal Bay F/C 2.35 Aintree Surprised they havnt preserved Barizan a few more weeks for the Punchestown festival he had a hard time out in front at Cheltenham before getting slightly tired and making a mistake at last which potentially cost him the win but all that said if all is well he may yet prove hard to peg back although ground perhaps gone against him but Mccoy back in the saddle and previously won on him! Barizan e/w 3.10 Aintree Disappointing turnout really although all have solid chances really, Imperial Commander won the Gold Cup a few weeks back but again concern over a hard race telling where as Nacarat has had a little more time to get over exertions when just beaten by the useful razor royale. Nacarat e/w 4.20 Aintree Lennon is sure to pick a race up like this at some point, usually a fairly sound jumper and will appreciate the cut in the ground, wasnt seen for over 600 days so has perhaps needed a few runs under the belt and is now starting to slip in the weights and should have a sound chance. Lennon e/w 4.55 Aintree I was amazed at the way The Nightingale travelled and jumped last time out ok didnt beat a huge amount but he is now certainly open to plenty more improvement and has been saved for this race where as Somersby had a run at Cheltenham a few weeks back. The Nightingale win
