Lithuania LKL play-off 2010

Well, like one guy on Euroleague's thread mentioned that he is interested in this leagues play-offs where i can't find any interest, so i decided little bit to prewiev it to you guys who don't know about this league anything :) W L PTS 1. Lietuvos Rytas (Vilnius) 23 1 23 2. Zalgiris (Kaunas) 22 2 22 3. Siauliai (Siauliai) 19 5 19 4. Juventus (Utena) 13 11 13 5. Neptunas (Klaipeda) 11 13 11 6. Techasas (Panevezys) 11 13 11 7. Rudupis (Prienai) 11 13 11 8. Perlas (Vilnius) 11 13 11 9. Sakalai (Vilnius) 10 14 10 10. Suduva (Marijampole) 8 16 8 11. Alytus (Alytus) 6 18 6 12. Nevezis (Kedainiai) 6 18 6 13. Aisciai (Kaunas) 5 19 5 Vilniaus „Lietuvos rytas“ – Vilniaus „Perlas“ The derby mach in the first 1/4 final game, and no one here in Lithuania expecting for a battle. LKL champions will be testing young hungry team, who ended 8th to get just in the play-offs. Rytas won both regular season games 80:70 and 83:68 Rytas will miss they'r key players like Jomantas, Bjelica, Baynes, but it shouldn't be a big hopes for Perlas. Maybe Rytas had rested some key players in the regular season, but this is the other thing and all knows the important of this game and will play 100%. Prediction: Rytas will go through 2:0! Kauno „Žalgiris“ – Prienų„Rūdupis“ All season long Zalgiris where like on american hills, up and down. With changing the coaches, but where able to finish it second. While Rudupis lost they'r last game and bounced to 7th position. Looking at the regular season games it looks like we will see some interesting match. First game Zalgiris won 81:74 and the second at home just with good 4Q were able to win it 84:75. But Zalgiris were playing not the full squad with this team. T.Watson haven't played with Rudupis at all. M.Brown played just 10 min, Salenga only 1 mach. Rudupis leader V,Dabkus played vs Zalgiris also only 1 game. All i know that Zalgiris at this stage shouldn't be jocking with oponents and they will play with full squad. Interesting game should be in Prienai where the hosts playing with double energy. Prediction: Zalgiris go through 2:0! Å iaulių „Šiauliai“ – Panevėžio „Techasas“ well, Siauliai like always behind 2 famous teams in 3rd position. Last year Techasas didn't played in play-offs, but this year found they place at 6 position. All season long battling with injuries Techasas showed a good basketball. and with G.Leonavicius in front sometimes it happened that they were able to play just 7-8 players. The game in Panevezys with 7-8 players they were able to win it 79:71. interesting that both teams played without theyr leaders Techasas without Ezerskis and Siauliai - Kuzminskas. The first game of theese teams ended amazing Siauliai victory at home 120:58! that night Techasas played only with 7 players. Siauliai demonstrating very good offensive basketball this year averaging 90.5 pts per game and are just behind the champs Rytas (91.8)! In my eyes if Techasas wants to keep the series alive they must to stop Siauliai offence, otherwise they will be going home. Prediction: Siauliai go though 2:0! Utenos „Juventus“ – Klaipėdos „Neptūnas“ one of the interesting pairs of the play-offs no doubt about it. the battle of the tabble neighbours should be interesting. The LKL debutants Juventus managed to transfer good squad and looking to the 3rd place of the championship. while if any before the season startd said that Neptunas will be at the 5th position i'll said that that man is an idiot or very optimistic. Last year Neptunas battle for bronze and from last years tam there's just 2 players ... all players went up to better contracts, and were replaced by the young hungry guys who proved that don't need to have big contracts to end 5th in the regular season. Both regular season games Juventus won , at home 81:71, and 2weeks ago in Klaipeda 72:65! Neptunas playing poor at the moment, After injury Neptunas PG R.Bitinas playing badly, scored just 3pts and -15 overall ranking. Serapinas came from Azovmash and all were hope that he will be good for the team, but also played good just couple of games. Neptunas leader Osvaldas Kurauskas is injured and will miss play-offs. Looking at the Juventus it's the complete Opposite than Neptunas, Zydrunas Urbonas and Audrius Mineikis is back on track and will help to 2003 european champion V.Praskevicius who's playing superb at the moment. Looking a tit objective, Juventus have a longer bench than Neptunas, but Neptunas all season long were underdogs. Just with battling on the pitch Neptunas shocked not one and not the 2 teams, so this series still hard to predict, but i believe if Juventus win the first game at home they will win this series, but if they will lose it then anything could happen in Klaipeda. Prediction: Juventus go through 2:1! Rytas - Perlas vs Juventus - Neptunas Zalgiris - Rudupis vs Siauliai - Techasas
