Euroleague Final 4 May 7-9

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, thread doesn't exist so i decided to prewiev it! The bookies have not priced odds yet, but lets see the situation from our eyes, and what we can expect from this! (in advance if there's some brits or americans please do not judge me with my english ) :ok ffpestanyes2.png665.png One of the top teams of this season, and you got to agree with that! Only 2 losses in Euroleague, only 2 losses in ACB! Barcelona was too strong for all the teams in the very first games of euroleague: 1 W, at Fenerbahce Ulker 59 - 82 2 W, vs Cibona 81 - 59 3 W, at Zalgiris 70 - 77 4 W, vs Asvel Basket 76 - 62 5 W, at Montepaschi Siena 65 - 84 6 W, vs Fenerbahce Ulker 89 - 55 7 W, at Cibona 66 - 80 8 W, vs Zalgiris 89 - 55 9 W, at Asvel Basket 64 - 90 10 W, vs Montepaschi Siena 85 - 70 the first loss came from Belgrade, where every team playing like in hell, and to play and a win there you must "die" on the pitch! Despite one loss in Top-16 Barca got not the best oponent in the 1/4 finals Real Madrid with Prof. Messina in front, but were able to cope with it very comfortably won the series 3:1! Injuries: well sometimes it happens when you're playing good no mater basketball or smth else, there's one big problem that could happen is injuries, but this season long Barca were able to miss theese situations, no big injuries at all, so i don't know maybe we got to give credit to medics :hope Predictions: well, i've got to say that Barca is my favourite here in all final 4, for sure the odds on them will be lower than the others, but didn't they earned it? Player to watch out: there's lot of good and experienced players that this year combined a good team work and were proven by this season results. But one players rising all the way and yes it's Juan Carlos Navarro, the player to watch out and i believe he can become MVP, waiting for a under/over on him! 665.png Can someone kick them out of that final four? this team always there ... :lol Well, this team earned the applauses to get in the final. CSKA reached final 4 7 consecutive year in a row! Russians started Euroleaguebad, but ended it with authority: 1 W, at Maroussi BC 65 - 66 2 L, vs Lottomatica Roma 69 - 74 3 L, at Maccabi Electra 71 - 54 4 W, vs Union Olimpija 79 - 69 5 W, at Caja Laboral 67 - 71 6 W, vs Maroussi BC 78 - 65 7 W, at Lottomatica Roma 57 - 72 8 W, vs Maccabi Electra 77 - 72 9 W, at Union Olimpija 77 - 80 10 W, vs Caja Laboral 84 - 83 Win over Caja Laboral in final seconds gave them totaly easier group in my eyes, and they proved that only one contraversial loss to Asseco in Poland, but it doesn't matter at all. 1/4 finals they've got the same Caja and the first games showed that CSKA is seriously concentrating on this one. combined +40 points games won in the first two games, and one victory away led them to Paris! Injuries: Matjas Smodis, Ramunas Siskauskas had his back surgery, but now he's healthy and ready to take it over. Player to watch out: Trajan Langdon is definetly on of the most experienced player in this team and if he could play at the top of his form that evening could happen anything! Predictions: well, there's been too many talking about CSKA ready to get something without Messina or not, will they make final four or not? they answered all the questions and watch out one of the best Europe teams in past 10 years! 665.png Wow, what a squad they had when signed Kleiza, Beverly, Wafer! The main question was will they go broke again or can they combine some usefull machine ? I can answer this one. they really do. Von Wafer got back to NBA, but it didn't changed anything at all. and they started the season pretty good: 1 W, vs Entente Orleanaise 94 - 72 2 L, at Unicaja 86 - 68 3 W, vs Lietuvos Rytas 97 - 73 4 W, vs Efes Pilsen 105 - 90 5 L, at Partizan 86 - 80 6 W, at Entente Orleanaise 84 - 88 7 W, vs Unicaja 89 - 68 8 W, at Lietuvos Rytas 83 - 89 9 W, at Efes Pilsen 85 - 93 10 W, vs Partizan 81 - 60 Only 2 losses in group stages put them to the group they could be happy for sure... and they proved it with just one last doesn't matter game in Russia. 1/4 finals they got Prokom and first two games showed that Asseco is team to watch out for sure, in my eyes it could happened the same situation like Partizan, but it'll bit later. they won the series 3:1 and wetn up to the finals! Congratulation red fans your team in Final and Pao isn't there, should sound little spicy isnt't it ? :) Injuries: Nikola Vujcic had some problems, but nothing else, they're full package and strenght and ready to take that trophy finnaly! Player to watch out: Linas Kleiza, he hasn't been in this situation before, he played in NBA and NCAA but haven't been in final with his club... but boy ou boy you must watch out him, Linas all seasson top scorer 17.2pts and is second behind alex maric of Partizan in Ranking! Predictions: Giannakis believes that his team are ready for the victorie that evening! and i don't see why he shouldn't believe with players like milos, linas, josh, nikola, sofo, Teo... My prediction for this one is too Oly goes to the Final! 665.png You've got to be kidding me no? Yes it's Partizan and they're the new guys at the elite evening!! They started Euroleague bad, and one moment there was a question can they go through? and they did: 1 L, vs Unicaja 64 - 72 2 L, at Efes Pilsen 77 - 67 3 W, vs Entente Orleanaise 78 - 71 4 L, at Lietuvos Rytas 78 - 56 5 W, vs Olympiacos 86 - 80 6 W, at Unicaja 64 - 72 7 W, vs Efes Pilsen 93 - 92 8 L, at Entente Orleanaise 75 - 72 9 W, vs Lietuvos Rytas 97 - 67 10 L, at Olympiacos 81 - 60 that 3 wins in the middle was the main thing i think that they believed they can play and win over teams like Oly and Efes ... Top-16 started a win over Pao but ended a loss in Barca, and they were only on Pao win and Zeljko did it to serbia Pao won over Marousi and led the Partizan to face Macabi in 1/4 final! Maccabi had home adv but lost won game to Partizan at home that all belgrade fans were celebrating! Grobari - called 21.000 fans that were waiting for maccabi in Belgrade Arena, and i got to say that won both games with comfort. Injuries: full squad ready to face greeks there in Paris. Alex Maric had a serious injury but now the best euroleague season player is ready to help serbians. player to watch out: Jo McCalleb is one of the partizans engine, american could easily score 20 or more points there, motivation will be enough to play like a leader! Predictions: i don't know if there will be some Partizan fans but it'll be different than that victory at home vs Oly. the main dissadvantage for partizan is the experience, if they can cope with it they'll be very dangerous. I'll keep an eye on the odds and will try to come victorious of it, of course it's very hard to predict Finals, it could go either way, with one team dominating that evening or one player shooting three pointers or smth else. But all season long i wathced teams and realy want oly to win it all the way. but looking at it realisticly i think Barca will win it, but like i said some shit sometimes happens will keep you on course :dude
