payoutwindow
I just browsed here with a different browser (IE :puke) that I do not use normally and it has no logged-in session cookie. The front page was a login form ... I tried to get into the forum, but it looked like you can't go further unless you are registered and logged in. Is this true?? payoutwindow
Re: The SportsBar Front Page Yeah believe you have to be registered to see the forum now' date=' seems to be working as loads of new members...Myself included :ok[/quote']Its good if you know what the forum is all about, but new people who have just followed a link from somewhere probably won't be bothered. What I have seen elsewhere that has worked well is restrictin access to certain areas ... give the visitors enough to let them drool. Blocking guests also blocks search engine spiders, only a small portion of the site will be indexed by search engines, and thus the website will most likely rank fairly low in search engines. Anyway keep up the good work, I am really happy you guys moved to VB .... its easily 10 times better then EZboard.

I have conclusive proof that is not the case. :) Blocking guests also blocks search engine spiders, only a small portion of the site will be indexed by search engines, and thus the website will most likely rank fairly low in search engines. Not sure that's correct, bit it may be. Anyway, google has never sent that many new members our way, more so Bethelp, weekend football, sports-punter.com and other sites. It's not neccesarily going to be forever, but it was done to encourage people to post, and I believe it has worked, with quite a few newbies posting lately. Payout, I've deleted your your signature, as you only post in the tipsters proofing forum, I can't allow them.
