This evening, I found value in the following two bets; Lille @ 2.10 Lille -1 EH @ 4.33 Using the Kelly criterion, I calculated the stakes for both bets, and both showed an optimal stake of around 2 points. Thus, I put 2pts on both bets. However, later, I came to think - I have, actually, risked 4 points on the premise that Lille will win, twice what the Kelly criterion recomended. Which is the base of my question - is this the right thing to do? Or should I choose the bet with most value? I haven't yet decided - any thoughts on this?
