2.30 Southwell Not a very special handicap, General tufto could be dangerous as he really is a course speciliast but finished rather tamely last time out. Tomintoul Star made aw debut 2 weeks ago over CD and was a neck second to positivity and she is lightly raced and potentialy for improvement and should certainly strip fitter. 0.5pt e/w Tomintoul Star 5/1 bet365 4.45 Southwell Most of these look pretty week, vertigo on course is becoming far too costly to back, Holden eagle not seen for 130 days plus still a maiden, My mate mal has won 2 sellers recently but has never won a handicap, Lava steps won over CD in a maiden but flopped in handicap debut and although now gelded he will need to settle better small field not ideal, mister fizzbomb making fibresand debut and has been rather weak over hurdles lately, that leaves the in form Bosamcliff who put 2 very good efforts together in second place in late jan early feb and then won over hurdles last time out and should give his usual solid running. 1pt win Bosamcliff

Re: Southwell 26th Feb (AW) 2:30 Southwell: Hilbre Court 2pts win 12/1 & Tomintoul Star 1pt win 5/1 both Bet365 If Hilbre Court can bounce back to form here he could go very close. He has winning form over course and distance and is now a pound lower than his last victory in December. Hilbre Court seems to reserve his best for this course and its not surprising that he did not feature at either Wolverhampton or Kempton on recent outings. The run at Southwell behind Ours on the 21st January was below par, but not beaten too far in a higher grade. Tomintoul Star is lightly raced and on her only outing on fibresand just missed out earlier this month. She was hampered a couple of times and pushed wide yet still almost won. Presumably fragile and the bounce factor is a concern, but a reproduction of her last run would put her right in the shake up.
