Southwell 25th Feb (AW)

4.50 Southwell Not the strongest 7f handicap on fibresand, War and peace is costly to back he is clearly a cut above these but appears to struggle to win, Guildenstern won last time out but fibresand record is bad, Fulford steps up in trip. Island Chief is well handicapped on form from the summer when winning by over 11 lengths off a mark of 64 in summer under amy baker, she is on board today and now running off a mark of 63 after some abismal runs on turf, has shown he acts on fibresand and yard in fine form. 0.5pt e/w island chief 5.20 Southwell Interesting 3 lightly raced profiles coming into this with all 3 in good heart. Magic haze goes unpenalised for a win in a weak apprentice handicap, Topliss on board again and claims 7lb this time and has to be considered. Hint of honey another lightly raced who won last time out up 6lb for that effort but useful claimer claims 7lb and if can repeat the 40/1 surprise is dangerous the form has been boosted with Transonic going on to win since. But my main bet in the race like many ive backed recently is the progressive unexposed sort in Isitcozimcool, ran well in bumpers so stamina is clearly his forte which pays dividends on this surface, but since coming back from a break he won a cd handicap and another at kempton off a 6lb higher mark, up another 4lb today under a penalty and still looks several pounds in hand over the handicapper. 2.5pt win Isitcozimcool 0.25pt win magic haze 0.25pt win hint of honey
